I just spent a week at Shambala and loved every minute. Sure, it is simple, but I found everything I needed there and the staff is very friendly. Bring a headlamp or flashlight though, since there is not enough lighting in the room.

My friend and I stayed here for a couple of nights. The hotel rooms were generously proportioned and very clean. There was some nice attention to detail including a birthday cake for my birthday! I felt it was very good value for money and the boudtha area was a good one to stay in.
