Stayed here for one night with my boyfriend and 14 year old sister. Tree top like houses either dorm style or private with shared washrooms. The woman who is the owner of the property was very inviting and made us feel right at home the moment we got there. They have complimentary bike service so you can bike ( along... More

Friend and I stayed 2 nights here and we LOVED it. We love the fact you get the bike included in the price and can just cycle into town or down to the beach. Yes, it is on a main road, but there was no problem with noise or anything. The owners are really nice and will prepare breakfast for... More

I stayed there for 1 night, the hostel is quite gud and the owner lady and her son were quite helpful. The gud thing is that they know English which was very helpful. The rooms are ok but there are some issues. Firstly, the hostel is located right on the highway so all night there is lot of noise of... More

We got off the bus on the highway just in front of "Tulum Archeological Zone" looking at the Los Mopaches sign above the gate, which looked awful. I got scared. But when the door opened, we saw an old lady with a wonderful smile, who hugged us like an old friend and showed us her beautiful place. Cute wooden huts... More

We stayed at Posada Los Mapaches for 4 nights and I was very sad to leave. Thank you Maria, Daniel, Beatrice, and Joaquim for nothing but the best memories from Posada Los Mapaches. It is in a great location b/n the ruins, the beach and town. I was not worried at all about safety of my belongings. The common areas... More

This place was awesome! The family that owns it is very nice and helpful. The included breakfast was the best I have ever had at any hotel or hostel! To make up for the location they rate includes a bike with all the necessary items to go with it. I highly recommend it to backpackers or anyone on a budget!... More

Me and my husband stayed in the dorm. Chelo, the owner and her sons are such nice people. We were definitely provided what we were promised - the excellent breakfast, bikes in good condition, neat and tidy rooms. But they just let us have for free snorkel masks! They have really put their heart and soul in keeping the place... More

I planned my trip to stay at this hostel for three nights, then another hostel closer to the biosphere to be somewhere more remote (so I thought). After one night at the other hostel I came back to Posada Los Mapaches for two nights because I prefered the atmosphere. The family who runs PLM- Daniel, his mother and brother, and... More

Me and a friend organised this as a last minute thing and were easily able to get a room once we'd booked. We left from Mérida and had a problem, which meant we'd arrive after the check-in time, we informed the hostel and they took it in their stride and made sure there were people there to make sure we...
