This place is out in the country a few miles from Exeter, close enough for work but far enough for peace and quiet. I had the en suite family room (single occupancy) the double bed that I used really needs updating I did manage a nights sleep but the bed and frame have had their day. That aside the host... More

Even with not arriving at Culm Vale until 10pm after a long drive, we were still welcomed and settled into our room by the hostess. She showed us where everything was an offered us the code for the free wifi. Someone has mentioned the speed was slow, but we found it to be quite the opposite with excellent speed. We... More

Overall, this is a great place to stay. We liked it so much that we stayed an extra night. The service is both friendly and flexible. The breakfasts were excellent, ALL diets are happily catered for. Yes: really, ALL diets. The room was warm and comfortable. Housekeeping was highly effective, thorough and very, very responsive. Comments have been made here... More

I can clearly reinforce the opinion of ramz_2011. It's still old and dirty here, the rooms have a smell, the urin-spot is still there, the old shower is dribbling softly and we had several clothes moths in our room (the golden one). We thought, we booked ensuite, but hadn't. Our mistake, so we had to use the facilities with a... More

A very warm welcome, we stayed in the Chalet, which actually is over the garage, it was clean and comfortable, my wife loved it," very quirky". The breakfast was excellent and set you up for the day. The pool was clean though weather wasn't up to much, so never actually had a swim......

We have stayed at the Culm Vale B&B several times over the years while visiting family. The hosts are always pleasant and helpful. The rooms accommodate families nicely and the traditional English breakfast is cooked to perfection. Great location to Exeter. I'm sure we'll be back.
