Stayed here with 3 other girls. The location of the hostel is really great, very safe, right behind the cathedral. Restaurants, stores, banks, coffee shops close by. Rooms were large and clean with balcony but very cold. For the price, would definitely recommend :o)

Zacatecas is a beautiful city built on hills in the high areas of Mexico. This hostel is a high building, in a high city with a high roof with high views. I stayed in January when the road in front of the hostel was being replaced together with pipes, so it should soon, have a nice new road. The hostel... More

The best hostal in Mexico I have stayed in! They staff are second to none very friendly, professional and helpful. The hostal has many nice rooms and a terrace looking out over the city. It is centrally located in a very safe area near Shops, Restaurants and the Mercado. The hostal has a sophisticated security system and cameras all over.... More

Unexpected fun at this clean and friendly hostel. Great location close to walking everywhere in Zacatecas. Beautiful terrace. I stayed in a single room on a top floor and it was simple, clean, quiet, just what I needed. Didn't come with an expectation to meet people but had some really interesting conversations and meals with people from all over the... More

Zacatecas is a great place to visit. A nice very friendly town with a feeling of being somewhat off of the regular tourist path. I booked through Hostelbookers to stay 3 nights at Hostal Villa Colonial in a private room with ensuite bathroom. My reservation was misplaced or something and I had to wait an hour+ for the owner to... More

We have been to many hostels and this is by far one of the best we have ever stayed at! Not only is the staff VERY friendly but the rooms / bathrooms are very clean as well. They have a wonderful balcony with kitchen included and bbq pit with a great view of Zacatecas. The location is perfect and is... More

We stayed here recently for 5 nights over Semana Santa, and luckily enough it coincided with the music Festival Cultura. The hostel is well situated, literally 2mins walk to the main street Hidalgo containing all the major shops, restaurants and handicrafts stalls etc. There was a bit of confusion about our reservation for a private room when we arrived (make... What can I say that hasn't already been said? From my experience the staff was helpful and very friendly. Some of which spoke amazing English. The people staying there were also very friendly and interesting. The location? Top notch. Walking distance to most amazing things in the town, the centro for sure. Security is great with cameras and somebody at... More

Nice place, very downtown located, not exactly luxury, but cozy and with some great views at Zacatecas and the Cathedral from the terrace. I did not really like the dorms much, but the private rooms (with or without bathroom) are a great deal for just about 20 - 25 USD! Number 11 is especially nice with two huge windows. There... More
