Yes, it's one block close to the Zocalo, but it isn't worth it. I'm going to start with the rooms. Ours was dirty, have rusty bathroom, I found cockroaches in bed and it got flooded after rain. Really, I had a terrible experience. The service is so so... The food is terrible... I had breakfast twice and I got sick.... More

We chose this hotel for two reasons, location and the pool since we were traveling with teens. I can understand some of the negative reviews. This hotel is due for a remodel and the maintenance is spotty. Drawers had loose pulls and our shower curtain fell off twice. The staff is reasonably nice, but don't seem to have much of... More

Materials used for the reconstruction of this old building do not absorb noises ar all. You can hear your neighbors all night and street noises. Serves well for the purpose of walking downtown but dont expect a relaxing night.

This hotel has a lot of charm, inside and out. I loved my room, the atrium, the old restaurant room. Great colonial architecture. But there was a smell everywhere, a smell of old and mold. I could hear all my neighbors snoring, and I bet they could hear us! The bathroom was worn out, and there was no hot water.... More

This COULD be a beautiful place and it once probably was, but a long long time ago. This "five" star hotel is set in an original colonial building with a lot of potential and a great location (just two corners from the main square). BUT. The jacuzzy was worn out, the bedroom tables were used and falling down, around the... More

This is an old colonial era hotel that is well located near the Zocalo. Our room smelled bad! There was a missing tile in the bathroom, with open grey water underneath. The smell was very musty and I am sure there was mold in the room. We requested another room, but after looking at it, decided it smelled even worse.... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel at the end of December 2010 but after two nights we decided to move to another one. The staff at the front desk were very nice and courteous. The first impression, from outside and the lobby, is that it is a colonial building with typical charm, but as we started to move... More

It is fair to say that their location is great, however, we had a terrible experience. 1) No water; coming back from the night drink, we tried to take shower. However, there were no water coming out from the tub! We called the reception several times and waited for 30 mins, then we had to move to another room at... More

We stayed 2 nights, and they charged for 3 nights. We called the hotel as soon as we realized the error and they haven't been able to pay back!!! They do not respond to email, and they always say "give me your phone" we'll call you back. The hotel is in a good location, but there are other options. If... More

Our room on the third floor was lovely - good ventilation, American cable, nice balcony, and a deep Jacuzzi bathtub. Beds were quite comfortable, though a little on the small side. Lovely light in the room, nice high ceilings. The inner courtyard was very picturesque, with a little pool (VERY welcome) and places to sit and enjoy the sunny garden.... More
