We stayed one night at Launceston Farm in the Penfold room. On arrival we were greeted by Sarah, who could not have been more helpful, and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation. Both the room and en-suite bathroom were well appointed, large and spotless. Breakfast met the same high standard. We will certainly stay again.

I first wrote a review for Launceston Farm in 2009 and thought it time I updated it. My recent visit was in April 2013 and I am happy to say that the high standards continue. I stayed for B & B in Scraggs and the quality of the room, sleep and breakfast was excellent. The farm continues to look for... More

We stayed in the Bothy (self catering cottage) for a long weekend. I made the booking and any prior contact by email and all correspondance was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were shown round the cottage and breifly explained how to use some bits and bobs that we needed. The wood burner was all ready to go... More

No complaints, attractive cottage and tranquil location. Stayed in The Bothy which was very pleasant. Not a kitchen for people who like to cook and given we stayed over Christmas, this presented a few challenges.

This place is an absolute gem. We were staying for a wedding at the weekend, and we arrived very late in the evening. As we had communicated this to Sarah she was extremely accommodating and left very clear instructions on our arrival. The bedrooms are divine. They are spacious, extremely clean and well equipped for all of our needs. We... More

Stayed for a friend's wedding in the summer. The B&B is in a beautiful building and lovely setting, upon our arrival Sarah brough up tea and cake which was delicious and just what we needed after our drive down from London before heading out for a walk around the farm and fields. The room was spacious, well equipped and very... More

We stayed just one night with friends; neither of us had been before. The welcome by Sarah was warm and genuine. Afternoon tea was served in the lounge. Our rooms were well furnished and comfortable with en suite facilities. The evening meal, although pleasant enough, was somewhat dissapointing. Some kind of sauce would have complemented the meat and vegetables. Breakfast... More

We came here for a couple of nights, bringing our horses which were accommodated in the American barn just over from the house. Our host, Sarah, welcomed us on our first afternoon, after we'd returned from a local ride, with tea and home-made cake. The farm house is rather grand, in the style of a manor house, and beautifully decorated... More

We rented the “Bothy” as we wanted to be independent from the main house. The cottage is beautifully kitted out, everything you need for the weekend including an outside bath. You are not overlooked as you have a wall surrounding the cottage with wooden windows in it that once you open overlooks the goats! The grounds are excellent with a... More

Rosie and I just enjoyed a five night stay in 'the bothy' at Launceston Farm. It was truly excellent. Wonderful attention to detail including feather pillows, a huge and expensive bed and joy of joys blackout curtains! These really do make for a restful stay and are generally overlooked by most. The rest of the property is very tasteful and... More
