The Tropical is a great resort and you have access to the Colonial, Caribe and Beach which all have something different to offer which makes your stay that much better. Extremely great staff except aquatic/water sport staff not friendly. Great and varied al la cart restaurants. A few bars to choose. Just returned from Barcelo 2/5/2012. This is our 8th A.I. vacation, and this was the best venue yet. Palace section was off by itself and seemed a little too stuffy for us. Perfect spot, friendly staff and for us travelling with a kid with food allergies they were really accomodating. They prepared special plates for the kid, it was perfect. More
