When I arrived at the hotel it was empty, a handwritten piece of paper glued to the gate said to call a number to enter the hotel. I called 15 times with no answer. I contacted them through the booking app that I used and the hotel answer was that their staff had other priorities and that check in times are from 2pm to 3pm. There is no sign or warning of this rule ANYWHERE . Not in the booking app or in their info. Horrible experience. DO NOT STAY AT HOTEL ALDAMA!

Stayed for one night at Hotel Aldama. It's a small hotel, but offers decent accommodations. Room with two beds was spacious. I did not like they don't have black out curtains, so early in the morning, all the light was pouring into the room, and I had to wake up early. Great location, just minutes away from Downtown Colima. Front desk agent was very polite and helpful. They don't have a big parking space, as it is shared with a hospital around the corner, and they only have 5 parking spaces.

The hotel was clean and the location was close enough to the main square of Colima. It was a little annoying that their parking lot was not attached to the hotel (so you had to walk all around the block to get anything from your car) and it was full of huge cement chunks (not too easy to park). The internet did not work in the room- but it was not a huge deal. However we were most disappointed with their customer service- the lady who appeared to be the owner or manager was extremely rude throughout both of the times we interacted with her. While checking out I asked just out of curiosity if what we paid included breakfast. In perfect timing the young woman working at the front desk said "Sí" while the rude lady said, "No." We did not want to eat there anyway but the timing of their opposite answers of course made us think. I would not go back again, mostly because of how rude they were. At least the room was clean and quiet.…

The Aldama Hotel is a lovely, quaint hotel. It's about a 10 minute walk to downtown Colima. The evening receptionist was extremely helpful w/her dinner recommendations-and called 2 taxis for our party of 6. The upper floor has a wonderful view of the volcano. I would suggest requesting a room with a window, as my room did not have one, and it was rather stuffy w/o the A/C.

Booked through Booking.Com at the last minute. The hotel is located close to downtown, within walking distance but it still is a bit of a hike. The hotel looks very nice - bright courtyard surrounded by two stories of rooms. We should have asked to see the room first - we were given one in the corner on the bottom floor. The only window was in the door to the courtyard. The A/C was noisy. The TV was small and a long ways away from the beds. The beds were hard but relatively comfortable. The room was very clean. WiFi was so/so. The continental breakfast was more than basic - just toast and coffee. Maybe we were late and missed the real thing, I don't know. The price was not cheap, over $700MXP.

We upgraded to a king room on the main floor. There are only two rooms with king size beds; the other one is on a higher floor. Unfortunately our room didn’t have any windows, so it was a bit dark. The room was clean but small; there was just room to place our suitcase and walk around the bed. My husband is tall, so he had to be careful not to bump his head on the TV. The bathroom had good water pressure and hot water. We had a good wi-fi connection in our room, although sometimes we had to move to stay connected. Despite being across the street from the Red Cross ambulance station, and there being several other guests in the hotel, the room was very quiet and we slept well. It was hot the weekend we were in Colima, so we were happy to have the air conditioning at night. The hotel has a restaurant, which is convenient for morning coffee and breakfast. There are also laundry facilities on the second floor for hand washing a few items. The staff weren’t overly friendly, but they were courteous and responsive. There were nice touches like paper flowers on the bed and in the bathroom, and nicely folded towels. We liked the convenience of staying on the main floor, so that we could use the tables in the courtyard to work on email. We also had a drink on the second floor terrace at sunset. We found the location of the hotel very convenient to the Centro and walked to several restaurants. Overall this hotel is excellent value for the money. …

Very nice hotel, tranquil and a very good price. They have a restaurant and the staff is very friendly. Only blocks away from the main square, it is a very good location. I loved the courtyard, I felt more like I was staying at someone's home and not a hotel. Actually I thing that this place was converted from a large house into a hotel, based on the construction but I could be wrong.

This is a lovely, Mexican style hotel. The room are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are fine but a bit small. Wifi was only OK in the rooms, but better in the open courtyard areas. More hangars for clothing would be appreciated. There were only 3 in our room. Breakfast is available, but small corner restaurant had more options.
