The castle was built by Jean, the owner becauseit was his dream to live in a castle. Super friendly and great cook! The communal dinner was very very pleasant and delicious and the castle and rooms are wonderful. Definitely stay here if you are in the area!!

Chateau Bahia looks like a castle but the rooms were not.The rooms in the annex are about 2 star quality. No furniture, box spring or window covering, teeny shower, slanted floors. But it was an experience. The included breakfast was cooked and served by volunteers who get free room and board for helping to build and run the place. The... More

We had stayed here some years ago and came back for 5 days. Our room was on the third floor with a fantastic view overlooking the chateau and the bay. Was lovely to sit on the balcony and relax and look at the wonderful autumn colours. We ate in the dining hall every night and tasted the delicious cuisine most... More

This is a once in a lifetime experience. We stayed here in mid June while on our way to the Bon Adventure. The castle itself is the results of someone's dreams and loving hands. It is pretty much made of plywood and has been added on over the years as the inn-keeper and his father's dream grew. The rooms are... More

The stay at the Castle was a truly unique and eclectic experience. We dined with a family dorm Paris and a couple from Montreal. The Innkeeper, Jean, was a gracias host and the building of this property a labor of love. Dined by candlelight in the great hall- Local Quebecios fare - and a pancake breakfast with real maple syrup.... More

Magical. Just magical. Have a family? This is a must. A child a heart? This is for you, too. Have a soft-spot for dreamers? You can't miss this. Nestled away in the forested mountains of Quebec is this ever-growing castle. The dream of the inn-keeper and his father, who built the castle with their own hands. The castle is actually... More

And it's very special. Moreover you dont' miss the dinner: a wonderful opportunity to socialize and live the magical athmosfear... More

If anyone ever wants to stay in a castle that looks just like in the cartoons (not the Disney cartoons obviously), than this is the place. We were welcomed very good. Owner even looked up where we are coming from and I was pleasantly surprised about this warm welcome. Sleep was perfect - it was so quite there and peaceful... More

This is truely a must stop-over if you are looking a warm welcome and courteous service in a surreal, but unpretentious wooden chateau. The owner is passionate about what has been a lifelong project (the building of the Auberge du Chateau Bahia) and he is equally commited to making everyone feel at home. He started cooking his famous maple baked... More

I've been there in late August/beginning September 2009. Wanted to stay there first only one night, arrived in total darkness, but when I saw the castles' buildings in the morning I was completely overwhelmed!!!! I immediately decided to stay longer! It really is a children's dream that became true there! We stayed in huge suite at the top of a... More
