The hotel itself was not very special. The rooms are clean but not very large. No problem for the two of us though. The location is excellent, only a few blocks to the heart of Banff. The restaurant next door serves a good breakfast. The continental breakfast is complementary but not very special. Internet is free wich is a big... More

The hotel is a bit dated but for the price it is not unreasonable by any means. Wifi does work well and housekeeping is good. It basically just needs some fine tuning with decor. The breakfast is included but not the greatest selection and a small area for it. Having said this the location is great and so is the... More

Location is terrific. Close to town centre. Within walking distance of all restaurants in town. Clean, basic rooms with free in-room safe and hotel wifi. Ask for a room on the front for a lovely view of Tunnel and Sulfur mountains. Rooms on the back will give you views of Norquay and Cascade. There is a free continental breakfast; juice,... More

Red Carpet Inn is a great deal in Banff. After camping for two days, my boyfriend and I wanted to stay somewhere that we could relax and enjoy the town of Banff. This hotel was perfect, their king size beds and lofted ceilings on the third floor as well as balcony looking onto main st is awesome! Definitely recommend this... More

This is an older hotel within walking distance of downtown. A cold breakfast is included..cereal, toast, fruit, etc. Those were the reasons we chose it as well as it was considered a "best deal" in Banff. I think I would have preferred to pay a bit more for a better facility. Very average. More

Went to the Red Carpet Inn in June 2011 for the Great Big Sea concert in Banff that afternoon. We planned on going to the concert and then staying the night in the town. The Red Carpet Inn was smack dab in the middle of the strip of hotels as people drive into Banff from the main highway from Calgary.... More

We stayed at the Red Carpet Inn for a week in July to see the sights around Banff. Ground-floor room was OK but the car park was so close to the windows that a couple of times we thought vehicles were going to come straight through the window. Lack of a second bedside cabinet was annoying. Breakfast was OK but... More

In an 8 week around the world holiday, taking in Europe, UK, Canada, Hawaii, most of the Hotels, Inns ( some several hundred years old), our comments have ranged from Very Good, to Excellent, and expected the same standard in Banff. I hate to say this, but Red Carpet Inn was not up to an acceptable standard. I refer to... More

This is an older property within walking distance of downtown Banff and its restaurants. It does charge for computer useage. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The front desk staff are great. They worked diligently to get me into a tour at the very last minute. I really appreciated all their efforts. They provide a nice continental... More
