I was impressed by all of the Canadian hostels we stayed in, but HI Banff Alpine Centre really stood out. Superd setting, quiet and beautiful but with free and easy bus links into the town center for the life and activities you may want. The rooms were clean, and having a sink and toilet per room was luxury! All the... More

HI Banff was a great experience. We were upgraded to the new Mary-Belle building and it was lovely. New, clean and spacious. We had a wash-room in our bedroom and one of the bottom bunks was a double. There is a big common area with a fire place in the middle, a great place to hang out or read a... More

It's a clean place with friendly staff. Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Wi-fi is available everywhere I recommend staying in the addition if you don't want the music from the bar in the basement to disturb you in the night. I didn't try eating there so I can't give any feedback on that. More

I stayed in the hostel on two occasions, the first time I was in the main building in a 4-shared dorm, the second in a 4-shared in the new building. The rooms were clean and spacious. The one in the main building was quite noisy because of the bar downstairs, which seemed to be going until the early hours... If... More

Would recommend this place to anyone! Also great for groups.. the HI is efficient with check-ins,... More

Whenever I get a chance I love to book us in hostels. We normally take the private ensuites. This place was clean and pretty but definitely didn't have the warmth of hostels in it. We paid $165 for one night. Room and experience both combined were not worth it. Kitchen was packed at ant time! All the smells from the... More

Hello, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We were very busy during the period of your stay, which affected our ability to provide quick service in the restaurant and led to our guest kitchen being quite busy, as well. We do have two guest kitchens, to try to alleviate the crowding that can sometimes occur when we... More

Don't be afraid of going there because it isn't so close to the city. The bus #2 passes just in front of it and it takes 5 min to get to the center. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, with a big locker and a good toilette inside. The mattress is much too soft tough.... More

Clean rooms, clean bathrooms and showers, nice and helpful staff, nice breakfast, free parking lot across the street. What else can you expect from a hostel? I definitely recommend the place. Would sure stay there again! More
