I stayed here for about six months for business travel. It is convienently located in downtown with superb views over the river valley, close to all major business buildings and restaurants. The front desk staff were always polite and recognized me as a frequent traveler after a short period. There are always taxis stationed in the front. If there was... More

I didn't know what to expect- this was my first trip to Edmonton and I chose this hotel quite randomly. The location is great- very close to the city center. I was able to walk to appointments at the University of Alberta, the mall, the art museum, and ChinaTown. The hotel is cylindrical, so I think every higher floor room... More

Have stayed at the Chateau Lacombe three times this past year when in Edmonton on business. Right downtown off Jasper Avenue. Usually the winter room rate is around $150 but during my most recent trip it was $238 because there were several conferences in town - typical hotel policy: increase room rates during special events. Anyway I was given a... More

I stay often in hotels on business (120 nights per year). My wife and I stayed in Edmonton for a holiday during Christmas week. The room was a pleasant surprise - an upgrade to a suite, with a welcome basket. The meal that evening in LaRonde was exceptional - food was fine, Christina our server very pleasant and interested. In... More

I asked for a refurnished room above the 15th floor. The room was very nice and quiet. I slept well even though it was a very windy night in December. The view was good even though it was not the $10 extra river view. Globe and Mail newspaper in the morning, although I would have preferred to find it at... More

Upon our arrival the staff were so busy speaking with each other they couldn't even greet us. Once they acknowledged us it seemed to be a huge inconvenience to check us into our room. No information on the hotel was offered nor assistance of any kind. The room itself was average but clean. Given a choice I would not stay... More

I have stayed in this hotel few times and noticed the hotel staff (Jasmine) was not friendly at all. Upon checking she stopped me and turned her back to say hi to her friend for 2 minutes. My friend booked in the same hotel and checked in the following day. Jasmine was rude to her and mentioned my first and... More

I had lowered my expectations after seeing reviews on TA but the place was nice. The rooms were well kept, there was a stain on the carpet in my room but aside from that the place was clean. The building is round and the elevator shaft is right in the centre, so I'm guessing all the rooms have a nice... More

The checkin was swift and very courteous. They offer Valet Parking at a very reasonable price. The roud shape of the hoetl makes a very good impression walking to the room putting aside the boring "box shaped" hotels. Room was clean and well furnished. However, the poor humidity exhaust seemed to give trouble to the bathroom. WiFi was free but... More

Hotel was fine, but found out afterwards that front desk staff had stolen our credit card info. $527 in unwanted charges later we found out the theft occurred when we stayed at this hotel. Avoid this hotel at all costs. They can not be trusted. More

Dear Alberta887, I am most disappointed and concerned to read your comments. I would greatly appreciate further information regarding your stay in order that I can investigate further.
