My wife and I used the Bear's Den as a base for a Xmas ski vacation with our son and his girlfriend. The Den was private, both for us as a group and as couples. Others have extolled its virtues, we could not agree more ....... However, when travelling, people make the difference and the owner's, Lydia and Gerry, made... More

This was our first trip to Jasper. The Bear's Den is walking distance from the downtown restaurants and shopping. The B&B is very well decorated and very clean. Plenty of room for all our hiking gear too. The owners were on vacation themselves during our visit and the caretaker, Val was the most helpful person we ran into on our... More

We stayed in the Whistler Suite for 3 nights in November. The house is right by the main streets in Jasper, next to the trails leading up to the mountains, and a short walk to the train station. The suite was an entire basement suite with a kitchen (full-sized, stocked with all usual appliances, and common ingredients), washer/dryer (and laundry... More

My husband and I stayed in the Bear's Den room for 4 nights in mid-September. This B&B's location is just perfect. It's just a few minutes walk into the town of Jasper. We had breakfast at the Bear's Paw twice and then had full breakfasts the other 2 days at a restaurant that I can't remember the name of. But... More

My wife & I stayed in the Whistler Suite for 3 nights in September. Located just a couple of minutes walk from the main street of Jasper, Connaught Drive. You have your own separate self contained apartment complete with full kitchen and laundry facilities located below the main house at basement level with its' own front door. Plenty of natural... We spent three nights in the Whistler Suite of the Bear's Den in mid-September. We can highly recommend all aspects of the accommodations. Gerry & Lydia are great hosts who are very familiar with the area. They were most accommodating when our plans changed. The suite was clean, well-kept, and the unexpected perks (e.g. - frig stocked with soft drinks... More

We visited Jasper in June with 4 friends. Two couples stayed at the Bear's Den and the other couple stayed next door at Shawnee's Place. Both B&Bs were excellent and the location was perfect for us. We certainly couldn't fault the Bear's Den - it was immaculate and the furniture and amenities including the fully equipped kitchen were first class.... More

What a great place to stay. Wonderful suite with everything we needed and lots of great extras. We were sorry we did not have the time to watch some of the movie collectionwhich included lots of films we would have loved to watch. We were sorry to miss Lydia and Gerry but enjoyed reading their book which showed the redevelopment... More

We stayed for four nights in June, with another couple, so shared the lounge area. It was very spacious and comfortable, especially as the weather was very mixed. We also made use of the laundry facilities. The Bears Den is about 5 minutes walk from the bakery and not much more to the Tourist Information centreand railway station. Lydia and... More

We stayed at the Bear's Den in May and as two couples had both rooms. After 3 weeks staying in hotels it was fantastic to arrive at the Bear's Den with all it's home comforts - washer and dryer, lounge room, wifi, a full kitchen with everything you need. All the little touches were great too such as cold soft... More
