Recently we stayed at the Maverick for 3 nights. We have stayed here before, and enjoyed it. It's not a fancy hotel, but has everything we needed. Very Dirty! All funiture surfaces were sticky & grimey. Appeared to not have been wiped clean in ages. Had a room with kitchenette (supposed to be an upgraded room) and there was old splattered food over counter/cupboards/fridge. Cutlery drawer was full of bits of egg and bread crumbs. The Motel is a typical highway 1 motel, but above average! Great value, very clean, great pool and free breakfast (even if it is pretty much only muffins). Good location, 3min walk to the aberdeen mall. Don't spent a lot of money on the Best Western, etc. the don't have a higher level, but higher prices. more

Stayed at the Maverick, and was pleasantly suprised. Great location, right off the highway, walking distance to a mall and eating places. Also, next to the police station, on a dead end street, which was great as we were in town for a Motorcycle race and had our bikes in the back of the truck. So that was comforting. Staff... more
