We stayed here for one short night after arriving on the ferry pushing midnight. the hotel has an air of classiness abt it but for what you get I would suggest a bit pricey. The room was clean, comfortable and definitely offered a good sleep. However there was no complimentary breakfast, or pool/hot tub or sauna that I was aware of. So one did not feel they got a good bang for the buck. The resturant put up a decent breakfast with a nice view of the harbour but again a bit pricey. I have no complaints abt the stay but would likely look at a couple other decent places here before looking at the Crest again on a return visit, based mainly on the steep price.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for three nights while we were on a vacation in British Columbia. We arrived at the hotel about midnight after a wonderful sixteen hour ferry ride from Port Hardy. The check in was quick and efficient and we were in our water view room in no time. The room was a little on the small side, but it was comfortable and the beds were comfortable, too. We ate in the restaurant for two dinners and two breakfasts and the food was very good. The view of the water and surrounding scenery is especially nice from the restaurant. All the people who work at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful, especially the people at the front desk. There is an onsite laundry which I very much appreciated.

The hotel is nice but once you get into the room, the beds are worn out, everything is very used. It’s really not a nice hotel room. The pictures they post are from like probably when the hotel opened. Because everything is very used. Almost $300 a night and they allow drunk people to be absolutely ridiculous and not stop it. The front desk people are not helpful. I would never stay in this hotel ever again.

I always love staying at the Crest. It is a beautiful hotel, the people are amazing and it’s in a great location. Angie E is always friendly and welcoming and her team at the front are always pleasant. In Charlie’s lounge, the best of the best are there to help. Bren and Brenda behind the bar are amazing at what they do and always friendly. Bonnie and Trevor always please everyone they serve and I always see their customers leaving with a smile.! All very knowledgeable and make you feel welcome from the moment you step in

I have enjoyed most of my stays at this hotel in the past but I mostly came in the fall or winter, but to my surprise on this trip, in June, my room had no AC. And the front staff could of cared less that I was not happy. There only response was that room has no AC which was obvious as that's why I was calling them! I must say if I have a choice in the future of staying here in a room with out modern features, vs another Hotel, it would not be here. I would also recommend my work colleagues to confirm they have a room with AC before staying here. I guess As long as I come in the winter, I will be ok. The hotel has new ownership and I hope this is not a sign of the things to come.

Horrible rooms! Smelt musty as soon as we entered, turned the a.c on and there's black looking mold in it. I'm going on 8 months pregnant and had our 3 yr old with us and he was instantly sneezing. Just got off ferry at midnight and ended up driving home to Kitimat instead of staying there. Staff were nice but rooms were horrible.

Stayed here for 1 night after taking the ferry from Port Hardy, hence we arrived after midnight. Luckily the staff are excellent and the check in was a very efficient enabling us to get to our room quickly and got to bed. The room was a little smaller than our other rooms on this trip, but it was very comfortable, clean, quiet and well appointed. It is easy to find and has ample free car parking.

It was our 50th high school reunion and many of us stayed at the Crest, our banquet was at the Crest and we enjoyed many very nice meals there. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms and whole building were clean and well kept. I even got to do my own laundry at a good price. The views from the lounge and the dining room are spectacular.

The views from my harbour view room were fabulous, I saw harbour porpoises one evening frolicking in the waters. Not much else good to say about this hotel. The rooms are a decorating nightmare, clashes of wallpaper and worn decor. The bathrooms are small and old and the shower leaks, which meant I needed to toss towels on to the floor to soak things up. There is a bedspread as a blanket, one clearly used by each guest without break, which is NOT OK even in this new post-pandemic phase. This went into my cupboard and was not used. The windows open but there are no screens on them. And no air conditioning, not that this is likely needed in a place where it rains 250 days of the year. My room was above the outdoor patio where people talked and partied until late. The front desk staff were not especially accommodating -- why are they taking a pre-authorization payment for the cost of the ENTIRE booking? The only other place I've ever experienced this is at the Fairmont Vancouver Waterfront, and I questioned it there, too. Every interaction with the front desk drew a negative reply, everything seemed to be a problem for them. Yes, I did pass this feedback along while there. Location-wise, it's on a hill so if you have mobility issues and don't have a car, keep this in mind. The Safeway, Starbucks and liquor store are across the street, which is convenient, and the community's excellent museum is right next door. This seems to be the best hotel among many pretty shabby looking ones in Prince Rupert, so I think it's the only real choice. The restaurant was very good, both the food and the service, I will review that separately, and the grab-and-go coffee counter with very good sandwiches was much appreciated. And Prince Rupert itself was interesting as a place with history and astonishing natural beauty all around. Hope this review helps potential visitors grappling with where to stay. Any real choice is limited. Thanks for reading.

Prince Rupert is not known for its upmarket hotels and we finished up staying here. The price was fine. However the rooms were very tired and need a refurb. The bed spread was dirty and had stains on it! The rooms had no air conditioning which is very unusual in hotels now. The bath rooms were ok. Options are limited in Prince Rupert unfortunately.
