I hesitated giving this a 1 star but after switching rooms twice, they moved me to a suite facing away from the storm, wind, rain that all pushed the sliding door open letting the rain in. I can't really describe how poor the rooms facing E are. The 2 bedroom suite however is a 3 star. The heaters barely work,... More

This is a good hotel for the value- rooms are clean, new TV, etc. Downsides are older beds, and the restaurant closes after lunch - oh and no air conditioning, despite what I was told at check in. Also, this hotel is 17 stories.......and they do not have a parking lot. This building also houses the local airline, the Greyhound... More

I have stayed at the Highliner numerous times in the past year. Really good location - right downtown, and close to amenities. The service is always excellent, both at the front desk and the restaurant. Staff have always been accommodating, especially when I make group reservations. The rooms are clean, tidy, and spacious. Ask for an ocean-front view, and you'll... More

This is not the best hotel in Prince Rupert. I normally stay at the Crest, unfortunately it was full, this is a significant downgrade. I will say the bed is comfy and it is clean. But the room is cold, even with the heat turned way up it barely stays warm and there are no extra blankets. The decor is... More

Room was comfortable, quiet, well appointed and clean. Staff went out of their way to help when asked. Compared to other hotels in Prince Rupert, the Highliner is less expensive, but still has fantastic views of the mountains and ocean from your room. The restaurant, on the other hand, is cavelike with no view of the ocean. Skip it. Instead,... More

Stuck in Rupert for work, room was very spacious and needed some upgraded but staff was incredible. Breakfast was awesome, staff in restaurant was great, food was fresh and hot. The front desk boy, Jordan was very helpful. :-). Hotel is close to everything and view from balcony was very nice.

The staff at the hotel are exceptional. Kind, courtious, prompt on service and very accomodating to your needs. The room was very spacious, beds are super comfy, but the pillows aren't very good. The room was in need of updating, minor repairs....but all in all great stay, good sleep, and very very quite. Would be nice if the restaurant was... More

I chose the Highliner because it was the least expensive of the hotels & it overlooked the harbour. The first night I was in a mountain view room from which the view of the mountains was gorgeous. The next day I asked to be moved to a harbour view room & was cheerfully accomodated. Watching the sunset over the ocean... More

Tallest building in town, beautiful views. Staff very friendly, housekeeping great, restaurant good and reasonable priced. Access to Greyhound, Hawkair and National car rental on main floor. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Withstood the 7.7 earthquake Oct. 2012.
