We two adults got away from the kids for 5 days and made the lucky choice to be with Edward and Bill at Birdsong for the whole time, Each day began with excellent coffee and breakfast and then - out we went, to open markets, sailing, climbing, roaming parks, visiting artist studio's and wineries. The restaurants were top notch. Truely,... More

We went to Salt Spring for a Family wedding and decided to stay in a B&B. Having stayed in many hotels and B&B's in the UK and europe, we didn't expect five star service. However, we were totally blown away by the service, cleanliness and beauty of Birdsong. The food was fantastic. Just thinking about the breakfast makes me long... More

From the time we arrived and got the royal welcome from Ed and Bill being assured that no request is too much to the fond farewell at the end it was all superb. We stayed in the delightful beautifully decorated cabin which is just a few hundred feet from the house. Fabulous hospitality and such interesting people. Loved the hottub.... More

We stayed in the upstairs Hummingbird room which has a small but comfortable balcony with a lovely view of the water, a clawfoot bathtub and plenty of room to stretch out. The location is off the beaten path yet close to enough to Ganges to make quick dinner or grocery runs. Our host Eduard was very accommodating, gave us plenty... More

You could not find better hosts than Edward and Bill. They are genuine and generous. We stayed in the Hummingbird room with a very nice view and a comfortable bed with luxurious Italian sheets. The room was comfortable despite the very hot days and we slept well. We also enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts. More

Staying with Bill and Edward at Birdsong is like visiting your pair of doting uncles, who are delighted to see you and proceed to spoil you royally for the rest of your visit. Our favourite part of the day is always breakfast, when we sit about the kitchen, watching an incredible meal being created, and sharing stories and adventures with... More

Bill and Edward will make you feel right at home while providing all the privacy you want. We stayed in the Hummingbird room which has spectacular views of the water and Chocolate Beach from either the tub or the bed! The house... More

I knew my experience at Birdsong was going to be positive because of pre-trip contacts with Bill and Edward; I had to contact them several times about changes to our itinerary and they were most helpful, friendly, and obliging. Arriving on a late night ferry, we were anxious about our ability to find the inn in the dark. But, Edward's... More

1) fabulous location: away from the bustle of downtown Ganges, but only a 5 minute drive in to town. Also centrally located on the island - you can get to anywhere in 20 minutes. The water view from the guest suites is unbeatable 2) comfort plus: the rooms are as comfortable as it gets! Perfect beds, crisp sheets, clean and... More

My wife and I recently had the privilege of spending our honeymoon at Birdsong B&B. We found our hosts Edward and Bill be very warm, welcoming and hospitable. The room was very comfortable and excellent in its presentation. The views were magnificent to say the least. "As for the breakfast!!" well what can I say...... we have not stopped talking... More
