Room is small for two. My roommate says it was just like staying in a prison. The prison don't have a heater, so it was quite cold. Luckily we asked the reception to provide us a radiator which it did. The light was very dim. And the bunk bed squeak a lot. There is no proper locker for storage except... More

the location is good and also the bar downstairs! the room was really small (2-bed room) and the beds were really uncomfortable, it was a little noisy and not super clean but it was ok for the price we payed. and the staff was very friendly!

Just stayed here the 1 night, but some of the reviews are a bit harsh. It's very cheap and located right in the heart of downtown which is a major plus. Room was clean, building itself was absolutely fine and the bathroom was ok as well. It's not as good as the HI hostels or Samesun, but for what you... More

My friend and I were visiting Vancouver and wanted somewhere cheap to stay for a few nights. And cheap was what we got. A sweltering hot room (the outside temp was only a high of 14 degrees...), mattress springs digging into our backs, bathroom stall doors that wouldn't lock, a mouse trap in the corner of our room (although it... A fair few people put this place down, though ive stayed here twice now and probably will go back again, I don't have many problems with it. Its an old building, the bathrooms are a bit run down, though they get cleaned everyday. I really like the staff here, always keen for a chat and will help you with anything... More

SO LOUD. I arrived on a saturday night and the bar downstairs didn't stop rocking til the wee hours. I was in a 2 person dorm. It was so small my roommate and I couldn't even get ready in the room and the same time. Also it was pretty dirty and there were mice.

After an awful experience at SameSun, we walked over to Cambie and for the same price of a gross 6 bed dorm at SameSun we got a 2 bed dorm at Cambie. The room was fine, linens were clean and the bed was comfy BUT the kitchen was DISGUSTING and grungy and looked like it hadnt been cleaned in ages.... More

The management was helpful, but the overall experience was bad. This is one of the worst hostels I've been to, and that compares to places I've visited in developing countries. The rooms were way too stuffy despite being 70 degrees outside due to poor ventilation, the noise was terrible despite the hostel no longer having bands on the ground floor,... More
