My sister and I stayed in the Sea Cottage and it was clean, comfy beds, and ever so quiet. All conveniences yet a natural experience. We saw whales from far away and one evening, up close. Great hosts, knowing when to engage us and when to let us enjoy the peace. Dancer the horse gave us some entertainment and the... More

If you looking for a B&B downtown fighting the crowds or antique stores on every corner, this is not the place. We wanted to find a quiet place to relax and found this at Dunroven B&B. Almost wilderness like at the end of the island, with endless places to walk and explore. Beautiful scenery with deer, an occasional eagle and... More

If you're looking to "get away from it all" . . . Dunroven B&B & Forge is a gem of an escape!! A quaint, clean, and comfortable cottage awaits you at the end of a private lane, with a perfect ocean view from your front deck, surrounded by towering fir forests, foxglove in bloom, and gentle deer that graze through... Soooooo relaxing. The hosts, Dan and Lauren are warm and welcoming people. The deer in the yard, the ocean out front, the sounds of the country, all lead to a retreat style vacation. The sea cottage is well equipped so one can pack a suitcase, pick up some groceries at the local Co-op and make your way to Dunroven. My... More

We (wife and I) have stayed at the cabin semi-regularly for a number of years. The landscape is beautiful, the owners friendly, and the atmosphere is great at encouraging relaxation. Definitely a wonderful place to recharge the batteries, read a good book, and explore the island.

We have stayed at Dunroven a few times now, The Sea cottage was our home and Dan and Lauren are great people. We opted for the breakfast each morning and always had wonderful food and fun, friendly conversations. Malcome Island is small, exactly what we were looking for and the local people are quick to recognise you and always helpful.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the island and the Sea Cottage. The Forge was lots of fun and enjoyed learning how to bend steel. The cabin itself could do with a little better housekeeping and newer towels but Being how isolated the area it was still good.

We stayed in the Sea Cottage for just under a week and quickly ran out of things to do on the island due to rain and overestimating the time it would take to see points of interest (two full days is plenty, three if you intend to do a bit of hiking), so we seemed to spend an above average... More

We booked for 3 nights B&B but only stayed for one. The owners seem like nice people and the house really is in a beautiful location but - well... In short: not clean and a TERRIBLE smell in the guestroom. Bathroom grubby and musty.

My wife and I recently visited this remote waterfront B&B and had a wonderful restful time. The B&B is near the end of the road from Sointula on Malcolm Is. (off Port McNeil). Lauren our hostess trains Oxen and has four cute young ones at present. Dan has a well equipped forge and has great blacksmithing abilities. If you like... More
