We have stayed at Cougar's Crag twice now, both in springtime, and had an amazing stay both times. The room/suite is more like a loft apartment but rustic, with a small porch, great electric fireplace-type heater, couch/futon and tv with great dvds, and a small fridge/microwave/sink kitchen area. It is very clean. Steve is a great host, friendly and full... More

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary weekend at Cougar's Crag. We could not have found a more perfect place. This B&B is by far the most dog friendly B&B we've ever found, but that did not take away from the quality of the place or attentiveness of Steve to make our stay as amazing as possible. The room... The place is a gem, and the owner Steve is incredibly generous and helpful. I ended up booking it while being in India, and not only Steve helped me with the booking process, and also recommended a fabulous restaurant for a romantic dinner in Sooke (as it was a getaway birthday celebration). The place welcomes dogs, and my/our puppy was... More

Cougar's Crag B&B is a unique experience. It is a little remote and a little tricky to find. But, once you are there, it is well worth the journey. As the name suggests, it is located on a rocky crag overlooking the hills and valleys north of Sooke, BC. The building has two guests suites, each has a very compact... More

This is a great place, especially if you have a dog! Great accommodations, very comfortable, everything you need. Great breakfast too! The owner was very nice and kindly looked after our dog when we went whale watching and into town for dinner. We wished we would have stayed here during our entire trip instead of only three nights. Great hiking... More

This was our 3rd stay here. We love it. It is very dog friendly. We are comfortable with all the amenities to ensure a great stay. Steve, our host ensures our stay is perfect. This time he even looked after our dog while we went to a wedding. If we are going hiking, he offered us muffins and scones for... More

This is the most serene forest B&B one could imagine --- an exceptionally beautifiul timberframe home with separate guest quarters and all the amenities one could wish for (even an outstanding collection of award-winning DVD's) ...all within a half hour of Victoria. ...Easy access to Sooke and southwest Vancouver Island. You can even step out the front door of the... More

My wife and I (along with our three Portuguese Water Dogs) had a unique and very special stay at Cougar’s Crag. The setting is breathtaking and I could have happily spent our entire stay sequestered on the balcony with a good book. Restoration Hardware could easily do a feature on this beautiful home which has to be seen to be... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Cougars Crag. We brought our dog who loved it too. The rooms are very comfortable. We appreciated the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmen design of the entire house. The property borders a great regional park, we only wish we had longer to explore. I did have a chance to take a quick jog... More

Cougar's Crag provided excellent, unique accommodations in all regards. First, the house itself, including the B&B units, are beautifully designed with wonderful Arts and Crafts details. The B&B unit was clean, had a spectacular view, and was perfect from the comfortable bed to the towel warmers. The unit was well stocked with current movies on DVD, and Steve provided many... More
