We will certainly return to this lovely little hotel. Within walking distance of eveything you would want to see in the harbour area. The staff were all wonderful and very accomodating, We were able to start our day with a continental breakfast and not have to walk to find our first meal of the day. Our room was large with... More

I was surprised when I got there to find that the room was an efficiency. What a pleasant surprise for the price!. Continental breakfast was excellent with the option of bringing it back to your room to toast, eat later. Unit kitchen well stocked. Even made a dinner one night with my son and his girlfriend. Then we "retired" to... More

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I'm sure your son and friend enjoyed a home cooked meal. Being able to watch the downtown activities while away from the actual noise is a bonus we are happy to enjoy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with other TripAdvisor viewers. We hope to see you again soon. More

Would gladly return to this charming "almost oceanfront" hotel within walking distance of major shopping; the B.C. Museum which is incredible; the IMAX theatre with special films; the harbour and it's ferries, seaplanes, whale-watching zodiacs. And the famous Empress Hotel! Our room was amazingly large with huge windows, and a balcony. The kitchenette was dated, but we had everything we... More

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found us warm, comfortable and friendly. Our 33 room hotel actually does have 4 king bedrooms. They are all in our 1 bedroom suites. So next time, let us secure a King for you in advance and we will make sure one is reserved for you. Take another spin on our... More

We stayed for 7 days. The location is wonderful, close to the harbour, government building and shops. The hotel has very few staff but they are all friendly. The breakfast was very limited, we didn't bother with it after the first day. The room was reasonably clean and well equipped ( we had a kitchen room) It is an older... More

Although in a good downtown location, these units have poorly insulated walls and creaky floors. Bathroom noises travel from suite to suite. Management is not responsive to guest concerns even though they say they will accommodate by "separting" guests if possible - they have not and they do not follow up on queries. Guest separation is possible as the parking... More

Thank you for taking the time to do a review. It gives us an opportunity to address certain facts for our future guests consideration. We try to keep our guests well informed of what we have to offer. If I am remembering you correctly we were not busy while you were here. However, being a small hotel, with limited numbers... More

A perfect location to tour Victoria and the surrounding area, either by foot, bus, or car. We stayed in early July 2012. The Admiral is an excellent value for price. The staff treated us like friends and not paying guests. The Admiral met our requirements and exceeded our expections.

We booked our one night stay in Victoria at the last minute so the price we paid was probably less than the regular tariff, it represented excellent value. Not a fan of motel style accommodation we were very pleasantly surprised to find such a light airy room, opening on to a shared balcony on one side (lovely views from the... More

Your review is very informative and comprehensive and helpful. It certainly would help me make a decision as where to stay. And yes, you are so right. The scenic Route to the BC Ferries is really a WOW. I never tire of it myself. More

I stayed @ Admiral Inn Sept 23 thru 29. Staff was courteous, friendly, and very helpful. Suite was comfortable, quiet and I had a great night sleep. We stayed at the Admiral Inn in September of 2012. This is an older hotel that a friendly staff is doing a great job of managing. Many of the rooms have kitchenettes. The rooms were very clean. The inn was very OK and the Location great to visit Victoria Rooms comfortable and ok, and the people at the front desk where very friendly and helpfully. In the morning they serve a small breakfast. We also used the bikes of the hotel to make a little trip (free). We would stay here again.
