We enjoyed our stay in cabin 17. Cabins are nicely spaced to allow for privacy. Views of the lake were spectacular, especially at sunset. Deck was large and we were able to barricade it so our dogs could have the freedom of being on the deck with us. Everything worked well. The hot tub circulated at 2 pm and 2 am and startled us the first night when it came on. It was rather loud but we got used to it. Good walking spots for walking. Loved the peace and quiet of the resort.

We were driving and decided to stop by the resort and see the lake. Trip advisor doesn't have a way of reviewing just Otter falls so I am reviewing it this way. The beach area was flooded so there wasn't much of a beach area.

These cabins are tucked away in a little bay with a beautiful view of the sunset. We stayed in the winter, tried some ice fishing (caught a few jack) just a few steps out the door and onto the lake. The kids slid down hills and the hot tub was a hit. Booking was easy and Amy was a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely go back in the summer.

Having visited here previously this was the best yet. Staff friendly courteous and went out of their way to help. Fishing was excellent with a variety of species, all challenging. Plenty of countryside walks on the doorstep. The resort has a variety of accommodation throughout the year. Quiet, our piece of heaven in Devon.

my partner and i just waned to get away some where for a few days with a hottub. we chose otterfalls resort and were not disappointed. We booked 2 nites in cabin number 16 and loved it. The cabin is lakefront, with a lovely deck for enjoying the views morning , noon and night. the indoor hot tub is spacious and relaxing. since we went in feb, its best to take your own food as restaurant at the resort is not open during the winter months and the closest town ( seven sisters ), did not have any restaurants open at this time of year. we definitely would return during the warmer months too. The only thing we nnoticed was that the jets on thehot tub must have been programmed to come on and off as during the night they came on twice in the middle of the nite, lol. we didnt know why this occurred . the contactless check in / checkout was very smooth. if you are looking for a quiet getaway. with a variety of outdoor trails in the area this would be a good choice.

They have a very good restaurant. Their ice cream is also amazing and they give generous portions. Nice outdoor sitting area due to the pandemic. Walking trail across the street next to baseball field. Staff are very friendly!

We were wanting to get away from all of the constrictions that the pandemic had placed on our family. We decided to try Otter Falls. Fishing, swimming, campfires, etc. We were not for one moment disappointed!!! The cabin was clean and well kept. Everything we needed was there!!! Scenery was breathtaking and we were able to catch fish right out in front of our cabin!!! Squirrels and chipmunks were quite entertaining. Burgers and wraps at the restaurant were delicious!!!! We very much enjoyed our much needed retreat!!! Beat sleep I’ve had in ages!!! We loved it so much we have already booked for thanksgiving weekend!!!!

A lakeside cabin weekend with great food, wine, beers, music, wildlife, a baby otter, great weather, new adventures/trails and a private hot tub was completely restorative and therapeutic. It was already dark by our 7pmish arrival & check in. After stopping at the resort office/general store and following the posted after hours check in directions, we were escorted, by a friendly resort representative, to cabin 12 as per booking. We were so grateful for this gesture as we were new to the resort and weren’t familiar to the roads/property layout. First impression after opening the cabin door was positive. The kitchen & dining space were accented by a big window looking passed the deck out onto Lake Eleanor. The open concept was great The cozy living room had reclining seating options. We were also treated to a wonderfully heated pre-filled hot tub. The hot tub was located beside the living room space. The back of the cabin was the bathroom and 2 bedrooms which were clean and efficient for our stay. Some cabins are pet friendly and wheelchair accessible There is a campground next to the Otter Falls Resort, as well. The mornings were filled with moments of splendour while sitting on the deck listening to wildlife over coffee The Sunset over Lake Eleanor was majestic, especially since the Lake wasn’t frozen yet. Cake by the Lake was our version of the “Cake By The Ocean” . We had discovered a trailhead but noted the Trail Closed sign so hopefully next time the trails will be open. I appreciated the safety measures of Otter Falls Resort. For example a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit and an emergency shut off button for the hot tub are provided. Not all resorts have these available in each cabin. Check out was effortless, thank you for a wonderful weekend Otter Falls Resort. We look forward to a next time

We were transferred here after a mess up with a booking at Dartmoor views. Firstly I’d like to say the staff are lovely and welcomed us from the start. We were given a 3 bedroom lakeside lodge. The lodge was lovely but just needed a spruce up of paint on the outside like the rest of the resort. It’s incredibly quiet which suited us. It’s not suitable for children in my view. I’ve looked at prices of the lodges and in my view if the price is this high, there needs to be WiFi and towels in the lodges and the whole resort needs a like of paint - it looks tired. They did lend us towels which was appreciated. There is a nice little bar but it doesn’t open until 6.30 and not at all onTuesday and Wednesday which was disappointing as we were only there Monday to Friday Overall we had a nice time but wouldn’t return.

We stopped for ice cream on the long weekend Sunday. At least 12 flavors of hard ice cream, twisters, soft serve and milkshakes. Generous servings of hard ice cream for $4.50 a single scoop. Stopped for lunch on the Monday as it was next door to the provincial park we were camping at. Service was fairly slow and not overly friendly, prices were average to slughtly high for 'resort' food. A lot of pre-made frozen items like mozzarella sticks, hamburger patties, mac and cheese bites. The pickerel sandwich was really good and the chicken fingers were too. Fries seemed to be the frozen variety. $55 for 5 people (3kids, one meal and one appetizer). Tables and chairs were older and a little run down. Lots of rustic decor. Wouldn't go again for a meal.
