St John's is ridiculously expensive. Just accept that likely wherever you stay during the summer month will be unbelievably expensive for what you get because that's just the market. We stayed in the Harbourview for three nights and never came across a staff member who was less than courteous and friendly. The room was clean, the view of the harbour was breathtaking and the food at Rumplestiltskins was great. Old St John's is a wonderful area - and this hotel is an excellent base to explore from.

Stayed here for 4 weeks a few years ago and it was clean , comfy and the staff were very helpfull. Not far to Walk down to George street if your looking for a cold beer with friends. Food was good and well priced for hotel. great place to visit evryone makes you feel welcome.

Would not stay here again. Rooms are old and musty. Had to sleep with window open just to get rid of musty smell. In this day and age I just don't understand how hotels keep putting old bedspreads on their beds. They are nothing but full of germs and are gross. Very disappointing. It just didn't feel clean.
