This 2-bd 1-bath property makes a convenient, clean and comfortable base from which to explore St. John's; we enjoyed our stay and were well rested, relaxed and felt at home. The place is extremely clean, and has all of the conveniences of home. It is like staying at a relative's downtown rowhome while they are away - everything you need is there, and only a short walk to downtown, and with parking out front of the unit - all for a very reasonable price. We stayed as a couple and had loads of room, although the 1 bathroom would limit the number of adults/teenagers to 2 in my opinion (kids are fine). We would definitely return and stay here again.

What a find. My first time using an online apartment booking site. It worked out. I will try and rate it elsewhere. This apartment. Large and quiet and clean. There is nothing negative to say. There wasn't even any snow in St. John's in February? Wjat gives? This is supposed to be the snow capital of Canada.

No issues, everything was exactly as it was stated to be. WiFi great. TV great. Very clean. spacious. I could have stayed forever, perhaps I would pass on downtown winter roads. I am from the City but had had plumbing problems and had to find backup housing while repairs were being made. Perfect for our needs

I have visited St. John's many times and have stayed at a variety of places. When you stay at Long's Hill Suites you are not getting a hotel room or a bed and breakfast - you are really getting a home to stay in. It is within walking distance of downtown and while the price might seem a bit high - it has all the facilities that you would need - a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, two bedrooms. When you consider the money you save making your own meals rather than eating out - it is really quite reasonable. It was very clean, I never heard any bothersome noise during the night and I always enjoy my stay. The owner was not popping in every day which I would find a nuisance but when I did need something he was quick to respond. A real bonus was the free parking. Anyone who has visited St. John's knows how difficult it is to find parking. There are two flights of stairs, one to reach the main floor and the second to the upper level but I didn't find them difficult, took my time, carried my suitcases up one at a time and it was no problem and I am a smaller older woman. I would recommend Long's Hill Suites to anyone planning a trip to St. John's. The only small suggestion that I would make to the owner is that it is time that the frying pan in the kitchen was replaced.

Furniture has changed since my last vist but everything else remains the same. The property is very clean the location is perfect, no winter drafts in this historic package. I live in the City but every now and then I need a time out space to catch up on paperwork or simply chill In terms of space? I can't imagine that a Prime Minister's Suite in a large hotel could compare. Spacious living room, dining room, full kitchen, two bedrooms. It was like returning to a personal condo in the City core.

It was so spacious it was more like i was renting a home then an apartment. Clean and quite and maybe 5 minute walk to either George Street or the center of downtown. My only regret? I couldn;t stay here throughout but I was travelling as part of a large group which limited us to larger hotels

My Hotel was sold out so I went scrambling. The desk staff recommended this place as it was just behind the Hotel and it was beyond. Like 1/2 the price of my hotel room and it was bigger than my condo

We stayed here in May 2010, and planned our family vacation around being able to stay here again. Once again, it was immaculate, and perfect for our family- 2 adults and a 3 year old, in the 2 bedroom, 2 floor apartment on Long's Hill. (On the 2nd and 3rd floors.) By the time you factor in the savings from having a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, wireless, and parking, it's a very reasonable price to pay, even at the high season rates. The TV and DVD player are new, so no concerns there. We fully plan to return. Our only advice to future travellers related to the noise from Long's Hill - there is nothing anyone can do about this, but it's not always quiet, especially if you want to go to bed early- there are often a lot of people, plus there is the fire station just a few feet away. We grown-ups packed and used earplugs this time, and this helped a lot. It's less of an issue in the room with the queen bed in the back, but the room up front with the 2 twin beds can be noisy. Otherwise, it's a perfect retreat for our family when we come back for our annual visit. We will return!

High quality accomodation with lots of space, very good beds and laundry facilities. Best of all was the location around the corner from The Rooms, very close to The Basilica, other historic churches and points of interest and within a 10 minute walk of downtown. We appreciated the parking pass as well as parking can be a challenge in St. John's. There is a clean, well organized corner store just up the road. You'll find a Tim Hortons and a very good breakfast place with wonderful homemade bread on Harvey Rd nearby. This was perfect accommodation for our family of 4 adults and it was cheaper because we stayed 3 nights.
