Great hospitality! Room was great and well cleaned. Two little irritants, It was very warm and you can't turn down the thermostat or open the window. Also, the plumbing needs a bit of work. Rooms clean and comfortable. Decent restaurant and bar within the hotel which is important when the temperature outside is minus 30. Easy walk or cab ride to downtown restaurants if the weather is not frigid. More

I find the Explorer Hotel to be the best hotel to stay when I am in Yellowknikfe. It is Central - it is in easy walking distance to downtown. The hotel has a resaurant, but it is rather pricey. The rooms are clean, the saff are very helpful and pleasant. Shuttle service is free to and from the airport. More
