More or less clean (just the one cockroach), very basic breakfast, a bit shabby. Bus stop nearby for a trip downtown (about 10 or 15 minutes by car). Had someone bang on the door at 5am which was a bit worrying. If you want a bargain, you could do worse.

Eco lodge Kingston is a building that should forthwith be CONDEMNED and DEMOLISHED -this filthy stinky cockroach infested property with floors and carpets permanently soiled beyond redemption with “new “room bedsheets unchanged bloodstained and hair contaminated plus sticky bathroom floors with dirty mould encased crevasses and holes in room drywall duct taped and worst of all WOKEN at 2AM with verminous insects crawling over you in your sleep smells more like an animal shelter than a legal human habitation .

This place is absolutely filthy and disgusting. The lobby is filthy, and walking through the hallways there was trash and dirt everywhere. When I arrived in my room it wasn't that clean either. They had no tissues, no extra toilet paper, no coffee supplies, no soap, absolutely nothing, I couldn't believe it. The cheapest, filthiest hotel I've ever stayed at. While I was sleeping in the middle of the night there was a fly or some bug flying around my room, I was itching in my bed and woke up with bed bugs. To top it off, my horrendous time there, the breakfast was just as cheap and filthy. Avoid this hotel.

oh where do I start? prostitute accross the hall that left her kids alone to go drink coffee from the lobby (they were like 7 and 9 maybe?) My husband is a gagg-er, Not one time could he get from the lobby to our room on the second level without me thinking he was going to puke everywhere. My son and I have a "thing" about bugs and eating (flys, ants etc) Him and I couldn't even eat in this Motel we had to go out to the car to eat our snacks and had to go out for dinner because we didn't want to share our food. When we got there we went to our room and my husband and son went to go get bags from car - while they were gone so withing 5 minutes of being in the room a Cockroach ran accross the carpet in front of me - GROSS!, people pissing in the halls, SO NOISY! not clean! and WHERE WAS THE POOL AND FITNESS CENTRE???? I never saw either. if you have a hint of OCD or like things clean then DO NOT GO TO THIS MOTEL!! if it had been warmer I would have slept in the car and I'm sure my son would have too.

Just spent one night. Room was dirty, sticky bathroom floor. At 2:30 am thought someone was trying to kick open my door but it was the room beside us. Lots of fighting and screaming. Tried to turn off air conditioner and a strong burning smell started that set off the fire alarm. No one came. Alarm stopped after 5 minutes. Door propped so anyone can come in. This place needs a total overhaul. Not safe.

The hotel is located in a sketchy area. It is run down. We found a cracked bathroom ceiling and ceiling wallpaper peeling in the bedroom. The TV remote would not turn on the TV or adjust the volume. The bed cover had burn holes in it. One can hear people in other rooms through the bathroom exhaust vent. The building does not seem to have wheel chair access. We had a room with a king bed. It was a small room. The bathroom was probably 5 X 6 feet (including the bathtub). The single lounge chair had torn upholstery. Even with this, the hotel adds a $100.00 'security deposit' which is returned to you if the room is not damaged. Not sure how they manage to track the damage that already exists. Looks like the old adage of "you get what you pay for" applies to this space in spades. As well, the staff smokes in front of the hotel in the approach from the parking lot. WIFI although free is weak. The breakfast includes coffee, juice, two cereal choices, waffle maker, yogurt, toast and bagels. There was some fruit as well. Pretty basic choices.

We stayed at Econo Lodge on Princess Street in Kingston this past weekend. Location not too bad for walking to downtown, but property was gross. Rooms not cleaned properly- found a cigarette on our carpet- van without plates that houses a group of men who hang out all day, smoking good knows what and urinating right near side entrance. Their presence also makes you park across the parking lot from a safety point of view. The door was also altered to allow access for anyone inside the building. On a positive note front desk very friendly. Not recommended at all.

Dear G0derich, First off I'd like to apologize for your experience while staying with us. Once advised of the situation of the van in the parking lot, it was corrected. As far as room cleanliness, I am appalled to hear this! You should have addressed your concerns while you were here, so we could have made things right. We do appreciate the review, without it, we wouldn't be able to learn or grow. We would really like to see you return, so we can prove our true standard and this would of course be on the house. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for choosing the EconoLodge Kingston, stay safe!

We mentioned a couple of things to the manger in the morning at check out after staying for 2 nights. We had the king bed room with the jacuzzi tub. It was right above the bar which was pretty loud for both nights. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly so we had to literally take off the toilet cover to pull the string up to be able to flush it which they did come and do a quick fix the next day, and also the wifi that is offered as free, didn’t work all weekend. So as we checked out we just mentioned those things to the MANAGER. He apologized and offered a free night to us. We were overly happy with that and told that the money would be refunded to the credit card on file. A couple days later, the money was refunded... but I was also charged a $200 fee. I called to ask what that charge was and the MANAGER told me that after we checked out, he found syringes on our desk and a burning cigarette on the table ashing all over the floor!!!! Absolutely ridiculous to have that accusation. He refused to refund the $200 and then hung up on me. I would never stay at this place again. I have gotten advice from the Kingston police and will be reporting this man to the Better Business Bureau tomorrow. Horrible MANAGER at this location and from now on, I will be walking through a room with housekeeping before I leave a hotel from now on.

We aren’t writing this review to give a bad rep, we are writing this to help people’s expectations when booking. We just stayed here for Valentines Day to get away from our daily norm. We have this as a tradition and have slept in many King Suites. This one is perhaps the smallest one we have stayed in. The bed is a true King and it takes up a LOT of room, the heater/AC is right beside the bed and quite noisy, so you may have to sleep close together on the opposite side. The pillows are really hard, but some people might like that. There is a strange draft and windy noise that hovers above near the ceiling that never goes away. The jacuzzi tub is great but be careful since the hot and cold knobs slide off as they are broken and not screwed in. You can watch the TV from either the tub or bed but the remote isn’t connected so you’ll have to dry off to change the volume or to turn it on and off. The customer service was good, so if you can settle for all of these things mentioned, enjoy :)
