What can you say about the Grange that isn't already said on their web site. It's not the Hilton but they really don't try to be. It's good accommodation for a reasonable price. I like the fact that it's right in Chinatown. I live The shops and restaurants there. We went to a Blue Jays game. That was easy. You...

Good location. Staff are helpful. The rooms are relatively clean. We used the kitchenette to make breakfast every morning so that helped us save a bit of money. Just make sure you wash plates/bowls/utensils before you use them.
Free WiFi.
Beds were a bit too soft for my liking.
Quite good value for the location. Just remember it's a no...

Before we arrived, we had read negative responses about criminality of the surrounding area. The hotel is situated 3 minutes walk from the heart of Chinatown with restaraunts and close to Queen street with bars and clubs. It is easy to access mostly all attractions by foot. The kitchenette in the studio we lived in is clean and equipped with...

Stayed in June 2010 for 5 nights.Would have changed locations but the city was booked up - we even were looking for other paces where we would have paid more than double. Anyhow: the bathroom and kitchenette area seemed to be clean. The carpet looked not so clean - but vacuumed, at least. The beds felt like they had spent...

The prices this place charges are really low (compared to some of the other places in downtown Toronto) but the rooms are not clean. The bathrooms are nice but just so so. The best thing about it is the location - at Augusta Ave and Grange Ave - a few minutes walk from Queen St W on the south and...

Near Chinatown, East of Alexander Park. Hard to find, looks like an apartment building, Easiest way: take Augustana St. to the North 2 blocks from the 600 block of Queen St. West at Tortilla Flats. Safe and secure. Sets in a residential area with public housing highrises near, but I did not see or hear any activity coming from them....
