This was absolutely one of the quietest and nicest B and B's I have stayed in during many years of travel. Tan, the host, was very attentive to all of my questions and requests, and he prepared an excellent and filling breakfast every morning. Due to a break in the middle of my stay, I was able to try two... More

We liked everything about this B&B. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, including fresh fruit and choice of hot entree (pancakes, french toast, omelette). The owner, Tan, was previously a chef. There was off-street parking for an additional $10/day. Tan was a gracious host, providing us with assistance in finding our way around Toronto. He even... After 23 hours of flying, Toronto Townhouse was a delight! Tan met us at the door and showed us to the Upper Deck suite that has an outside balcony. He then pointed us to a good local restaurant for dinner, only a short walk away in Cabbagetown, and on returning we collapsed into the comfortable bed. Next morning, we had... More

Although this B&B is a bit away from the centre of action (though it is not that far), it proved to be amazing value and an incredible experience. The B&B is within Cabbagetown, a picturesque and very quiet neighbourhood ; you have plenty of food options within walking distance and a few interesting bars, like House on Parliament. There is... Thanks for the lovely review. Yup we're not right on Yonge Street, but we're close enough! Just over 3 blocks (about a 10 min walk) from Yonge and College subway. If you liked Cabbagetown the first week of September, you would have loved it in the 2nd week!We just had our annual Cabbagetown Festival and street fair this past weekend... More

we were received with big hospitality by Tan ! We got his good advise about things to visit and where to have dinner. Breakfast was great! Carlton Toronto Townhouse is only a few minutes form downtown, but during the night you don't have any noise from there, so you can "regenerate" for a new day to discover the city. More

We were looking for something different for (yet) another stay in Toronto and wanted to get out of the downtown area for a change We struck gold with Tan and the Townhouse on Carlton OK, some of the rooms may be a little on the small side BUT we had private facilities AND our own private balcony/deck - ideal for... Thanks Phil and Nicky. It was a pleasure to have you as our guests. We do hope you get to join us again in the future. Glad you enjoyed the house and neighbourhood, and that you also enjoyed the breakfasts and tips too! You're right, the Upper deck is the smaller of our 2 suites, but also has the benefit... More

The host/owner, Tan, warmly welcomed us and explained how we were to removed our shoes before entering the townhouse. We loved this because we do the same at home. Why track in dirt from outside? The entire house is very clean. Nothing is overlooked either. If you require suggestions or directions, Tan will help you. He also asks about what... More

Hi Joeljason; Thanks for the kind words! We're glad you mentioned, and agree with our shoe policy. In addition to your reasons why we have this policy, here are a few of ours - it's more comfortable than wearing the same shoes all day; removing shoes reduces toxins and pollutants from the outside makes breathing easier inside for all our... We choose this B&B because we wanted a friendlier and more personal experience than big hotels provide. The location is perfect, right into the city centre, easy walk from the railway staion. The room was big and the B&B is very quiet. Our host was very nice, and friendly and the food (breakfast) excellent. More

I really enjoyed my stay. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Tan runs a good business- he makes sure people are comfortable and is attentive. (He also catered to my partners special needs which was above and beyond! Thanks) I was told that the place was full and yet I didn't hear anyone. Tan also was good about telling me... More

Very well maintained, very clean. Tan, the amiable host, always helpful w. suggestions for visitors as to dining, or interesting places to visit. Breakfast is avail. and so is WI-FI. If you like gardens there is one in the front yard , the best front yard garden in Cabbagetown. Cabbagetown, itself, is an interesting section of town. Public transportation is... More
