We had a terrific experience at the hotel. Like a visit to the past. The hotel is 300 years old - and you feel as if you have walked onto a movie set. We stayed with our daughters, 11 and 9, who were thrilled by the spacious castle like rooms. Staff was friendly and attentive. We would definitely return.

The only criticism I had was that on the Sunday evening the main doors were locked at 7 pm - no staff on Reception or answering the phone to help out when the taxi they ordered didn't turn up.
