We've stayed with Ken about 10 times now over the years and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Ken is a delightful, outgoing host who will do anything for his guests. He is extremely knowledgeable about what's happening in Montreal and shares this information readily. The rooms are all comfortable and well appointed. The location (in the Plateau area) is... more

We spent two nights at this B&B in September and it was easily the worst place we've ever stayed. The room had old, dirty tile floors with no rugs, run down furniture, lamps with stained shades and lots of dust, a bathroom that appeared under construction with a bare light bulb, air conditioner with a rag sticking out of the... more

We are writing to correct some recent adverse reviews, thinking you’ll be happier if you know what to expect. This is not a conventional B&B with antiques and chintz. Idiosyncratic and functional is a better way to describe its appearance. The inspectors rank it as 3 stars. We stayed in the Sunrise loft for 7 nights in mid-September. Climbing up... more

With regard to Redtr4a 1 of Southampton, I honestly don't know what place you stayed at, but it was certainly not Boulanger Bassin. My husband and I went for our fortieth wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. It is clear you have an agenda when you give the location three stars: The plateau is the most central area you can... more

Prior to booking our stay here we looked on TripAdvisor and read the reviews. Mainly good, with a few bad ones. So we decided after reading these reviews, along with the information on the Boulanger Bassin website, we would book a three night stay. Ken, the host, is sociable as you'd expect of a B&B host and the B&B is... more

We learned of Boulanger Bassin from the 2009 Rough Guide, and were quite pleased by our choice! Located less than a block from the relaxed and beautiful La Fountaine park, it is also just five or six blocks from the nearest Metro stop. It was the perfect base for us as we spent a week climbing Mont Royal, visiting the... more

To come short; I very much like this place. Ken is an excellent host, but more important a really nice fellow. Ken gave good advises on places to visit, restaurants, events and even about life in general! The location of the B&B is top notch; near a beautifull park and in nice and quit street. The room we had was... more

Ken, the friendly host knows how to entertain and pamper his guests. Fun guy, great cook, excellent breakfast and helpful. Nice and fairly big room with clean bathroom and nice neighborhood with beautiful park just around the corner. Without a doubt a place to go back to if you want to visit the beautiful town of Montreal. more

I just got back from a vacation to Montreal, Quebec City, and Tadoussac. This B&B in Montreal was great! The location was very nice because it was just down the block from La Fontaine Park. There are bike shops everywhere in the area(and I mean that!) so if you enjoy riding your bikes this is the place to go. My... more

Our family recently returned from a vacation to Montreal where we stayed at the Boulanger Bassin B&B for five nights. The B&B is located in the Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood, just a ten-minute walk to the Mont-Royal Metro station. From the moment we walked in (Ken greeted each of us, including our four-year-old daughter, by name), we were made to feel completely... more
