We stayed in Montreal at the Centre-Ville hotel for two nights at the start of a touring holiday in Canada. The hotel was excellent -spacious rooms and everything very clean. We did make the mistake of going for breakfast in the hotel on the first morning - buffet breakfast was $C51 for 2 people! Didn't eat in the hotel after that. There are shops and eating places underneath the hotel and would recommend them for good food and excellent value. The city tour is well worth taking - the tour guide was so entertaining as she gave us all the info about the city. We had some free time to wander and went out in the evenings without feeling nervous about anything. Lovely shopping areas underground as well as at street level and prices cheap. more
