excellent location off Mont Royal St. very congenial host, comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and made to order omelets for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Thanks to all at A La Bonne Heure for making our stay comfortable (well, as comfortable as possible in unusually hot weather for Montreal!) While the owners were on vacation during most of our stay, we were very well taken care of by Elisabeth, so kind and friendly! Breakfast was always varied and always delicious, the location was ideal for...

Stayed for 3 nights. Overall was fine, no huge complaints, but a few things to note.
After a day's driving from New York, we were greeted with about 30 minutes of staking out a parking space in front of the house - according to the owner we could only park in certain spaces, but she didn't take the time to...

We just returned from 3 nights at this wonderful B&B, and I have only great things to say about it. The location cannot be beat. It's on a quiet residential street that is a 3 minute walk to the Mont Royal metro stop and 1 minute to the shops and restaurants on Mont Royal Street. Also, it's a beautiful home....

Pretty place. We stayed three nights. Breakfast was served in a cold and detached manner. They gave us bad advice about where to park. We got a ticket. They told us it was our fault. Eventually, they agreed to reduce our bill. To reduce their pain, I then agreed to split the difference, since I knew I could at least...

This b and b was perfect for us. We had the downstairs room with a separate entrance. it was a great space with a microwave and fridge. The breakfasts were great- different everyday and each one was very good. Location is perfect, next to a metro and lively area to walk around and shop. The owners were very nice.
Thought they were kind of clueless about running a business. You always felt like you were bothering them when you had a simple question. There are many friendly B&Bs in the Plateau and other parts of Montreal. This would not be my first choice.
If you are looking for a suspicious and uptight couple who feel the need to investigate you with the the lodging from which you are arriving, then I hightly recommend this place. If not, I suggest you don't pass GO, don't collect or spend $100 and immediately call a different place. There are several excellent ones in the immediate vicinity.
Okay place to stay, but their breakfasts were not as fantastic as they advertised. Also since they only have 4 rooms, I was expecting them to be more helpful, making recommendations, etc. They kind of have a "hands-off" approach to things. I think Montreal has many BBs, so this would not be my first choice for that personal touch.
Stayed here in July of 2007, and had a wonderful experience, which didn't hurt my wallet too much. A husband and wife team runs the Gite, and lives downstairs with their adorable sons. Every morning, Soukwan makes a different breakfast, each of which was delicious. He and Catherine can answer any question, in English or French, and they do their...
