I stayed in these types of hotels beforehand,in Canada and in Europe and what I'm about to describe has never happened. Ever. Due to problems with hot water, they offered that I stay at their other hotel, which I accepted. Housekeeping there was SO rude with me and treating me like crap because I was not able to connect to wifi. So rude,I almost asked him to shut up because it's none of his business to comment on my issue, I was discussing it with the receptionist. I was so turned off that I asked to go back to hotel elegant -- it was my luck because the hot water issue was fixed. That same evening, this group of people (18-20 year olds from Spain?) were located on the same floor as myself and were so loud, lacking respect towards other guests. I asked the first receptionist if I could change rooms but he refused because for some reason he still considered these guests "decent people." He also mentioned that he wouldn't be able to sell my first room if I changed but that's not my problem as a guest. The message was: "you have to pay the price because I'm too cowardice to approach them to keep quiet or ask them to leave." I accepted on the basis that he would talk to them but it seems like he didn't because they stayed loud and listening to music at 1am almost two hours later. I went back to reception, luckily it was another person working there and he agreed to change my room, also that the group was being too loud. I had to switch rooms,in a "half asleep" state at 1am. If you have to book this hotel, then book it at a slightly higher rate,so you'll be on the 3rd or 4th floor where it's quiet and away from all the junk guests who check in like this group. Even if you're traveling solo, select the room that has two beds, guarantee you'll be on these floors -- housekeeping also told me that they keep these ppl on the first or second floor, which is where I was. The moment I was switched to the 3rd floor everything was great. But I would never EVER book there again. Only one of the receptionists are good for this job, the rest are completely careless about guest experience and just think about getting your money.

This place is SCARY! We were lured in by the hotel beautiful pictures on booking.com and exterior of the hotel. After we checked in, we discovered our room was a filth hole. Smelled like smoke, mold and poop. The man at lobby was rude and illiterate, this was worse than anything I’ve ever seen, dirty sheets, beer can under the bed, haunted sink and screaming toilet gave the bathroom personality! The most disgusting and creepy place imaginable, this was the most frightening experience, seriously debated sleeping in Central Park instead, please don’t go to this hotel.

This place is disgusting..We were here all of 20 minutes and needing to leave and wash the grossness off of me..There was a weird smell in the room as of someone used the washroom minutes before we arrived and the area seemed unsafe. The bed sheets were covered in other peoples body hair..There was spots on the pillow which were questionable and was told this was the upgraded room..what did the normal rate room look like..the shower curtain had mold we left and not given a refund at all..do yourself a favour and dont even bother checking in here..go somewhere else.

The hotel seems old and not elegant at all, the hobby and elevator are dirty, there was a weird smell in the room and corridor, the area seemed unsafe, no trash can in the room, staff went the extra mile to help me when needed.

This hotel was as expected for the price range. However it is in need of an overhaul and redecorate. Parking garage is conveniently opposite but if like us you arrive late and intend to drive the roadworks in Montreal are a nightmare and sat navs are hardly any use as the roads are closed off at night. You need to be ready with a detailed map to find your way. Hotel was very basic but clean enough. Not really for a comfortable stay but it is conveniently located for the centre.

This hotel is right in downtown Montreal with a quick walk to a ton of bars, restaurants, and other fun attractions. The staff were all exceptionally kind and helpful. Our room was simple but very clean and had all the necessary components of any hotel room. It exceeded our expectations for a budget hotel!

Not the best choice unless you really can't afford anything else. Room had no heat and walls were very thin! It was clean enough but not somewhere I would come back to. The front desk was very friendly, though. They tried to get my room ready earlier even though it was booked with the understanding that I would require an early check in. And were accommodating when requesting a late check-out. So all in all,it wasn't a one star.

Close to the Bus Station, Metro, Supermarket and nightlife.... but need a little refurbishing on the rooms to update the furniture and install an air conditioner. Also, it must improve the options on the breakfast.

OK it does not look that good from the outside, but you can say the same about a lot of people! The reception staff were great, I arrived hours before check in time and only wanted to leave my bags with them, but my room was ready and they let me have it straight away! And no extra charge like a lot of places. My room was at the back so relatively quiet, I froze to death with the aircon going full blast, but no problem I just opened the window at night, and during the day if I ws in the room. The furniture is not the newest around but the bed was comfortable and when I asked for an extra pillow, two more appeared within minutes brought up by the receptionist himself! Very good housekeeping staff too which always helps. Location is good if you are going to be going virtually anywhere as there is a Metro station a couple of blocks away, and it is not far to walk to the river either. As a real bonus it is only a couple of blocks from Catherine Street where all the gay bars are located! The breakfast was not up to much, dire coffee but then this is North America and coffee is never that good anywhere, the croissants were like rubber.... Would I stay here again?? Yes, of course!
