Clean, and does all the basics well even though some of the furnishings carpeting, and hallway decor are a little dated. The bed and the television is fine, and the bathroom is clean and well-appointed. Front desk staff was fine, and I thought the restaurant food was reasonably priced. The location is absolutely unbeatable. It's not a luxury resort and... More

We found the staff at the Hawood very accommodating, the dining room meals were extraordinary and the hotel itself clean and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade upon our arrival. The Waskisieu townsite is charming and interesting with many languages heard around town. Would definitely stay again!

My wife and family have been going to the Hawood Inn for a number years now, usually in the off-season. We always enjoy our stay, the restaurant is excellent with good food and service. The lobby area is very nice with a wonderful fireplace to cozy up to, and unique art work and handmade chairs out of local timber create... More

I was excited to be at the Hawood after a 20 year absence. I left sadly disappointed. The guaranteed 4 pm check-in was not met. Though we arrived just before noon, our room was not ready until after 4:30 pm. The only difference between a standard room and our executive suite was a refrigerator - something which was standard fare... More

My Cousin and I have been going to Waskasiu for a couple of years as our Girls Retreat. This year we stayed at the Hawood. Rooms are nice, older but very very clean. We had a room with a deck facing the lake at made good use of the deck. Staff are lovely and very helpful, Restaurant staff very very... More

We had scheduled a late check-in in the off-season and the reception assured my there would be someone on call when we arrived at 11:30pm. All I had to do was pick up the phone in the entrance and it would automatically dial the attendant. Well we arrived at 11:30pm when I said I would and picked up the phone... More

I spent three nights at the Hawood in one of the "standard" rooms (window facing the parking lot and no balcony), and was quite satisfied. The decor of the room was plain, but it was plenty spacious, clean, and the queen bed was quite comfortable. There was satellite TV in the room, and the hotel Wi-Fi worked for me there... More

Rooms face the lovely Waskesui Lake and are close to shopping and dining; the outdoor roof top hot tubs are awesome in the star light.

We stayed 1 night at a cost $174 for 2 all taxes included. All hotels in the area seemed old and this was no exception but well maintained. Two double beds with old style firm mattresses but had good sleep. Chose a room not overlooking the lake so as to get the morning sun. It had a balcony. Breakfast not... More

Stayed at the Hawood in Waskiseu with the family. With few hotel rooms availible in the Park, they are able to gouge a bit when it comes to pricing, especially during the prime summer season. The rooms were clean and tidy (until the kids got into them) and the cleaning crew got things put back together everyday. The restaurant serves... More
