On Sunday 12th May 2013 our party of 3 adults and a toddler enjoyed a delicious meal. The staff were helpful and attentive. We dined in the Conservatory which we found lacking in ambiance. It was shabby and the plants were in a dismal state. A good spring clean would be in order so that the room is attractive and... More

We regularly dine and drink splendid beers in this classic 14C pub in the beautiful village of Ringmore. Friendly locals and very welcoming bar staff and, Conor's cooking. I had chicken roasted and stuff with butter and herbs - these are all collected locally by Conor - and all the vegertables are locally sourced. Jo spoiled herself with a Marridge... More

We sheltered here from the torrential rain one Saturday afternoon in late December (22/12/12) and had a wonderful time. We felt guilty for bringing a couple of gallons of water in with us but Tracy the landlady made us very welcome and stoked the large open fire with logs to dry us out. Steaming gently we had a good few... More

Such an amazing pub that is rated by everyone not just in the area, but from miles around. There is a reason why people come from all over the county, country, and yes, I have seen many from abroad (France, the Netherlands, America, Australia, Germany... Must I go on?) - because the pub is gorgeous and the food is utterly... More

This is a very old pub in a beautiful village. Food was good, staff was nice and the price right. Went there on a saturday night in October and all tables were full mainly with locals. So yes worth the visit.

Five of us had lunch here having walked from Bigbury and we were all very impressed with the food. Some great seafood options (delicious calamari, excellent mackerel) as well as more simple food such as burger and chips. My tiramisu for pudding was lovely and the cheese board very impressive. The service was very friendly and efficient. Two of the... More

We stayed in Bigbury and went to this Inn for Sunday lunch. I ordered the roast beef dinner and fully expected to be disappointed...but to my astonishment, it was without exception the very best roast beef dinner that I have ever had. My husband said the same about his fish and chips. We took our dog with us and she... More

Went to The Journey's End pub with great expectations having read up about the pub on various websites. Sorry to say all our family were very disapointed with it. First impression on entering is that it is dark with a very worn carpet that badly needs replacing. Bar staff very unwelcoming and real ale straight from the barrell (not drawn... More
