for a b&b huntlywood granary was excellent. the room was lovely and full of character. the ensuite spacious and plently of towels changed every day. breakfast was plentyful and leslie was very accommodating and friendly. it certainly made up for the god awful weather.

I have to agree with the last reviewers "opinion" of the Owner - Lesley can be charming she can also be a dragon (our first night experience!) we arrived at 10.00 BUT it took us another 30 minutes to determine which HOUSE was the Granary - this was with the help of one of her neighbours (who then called her... Never met a landlady like this, too friendly by far then flips into abusive mode. Basically ripped us off. Constant complaints about her life which we did not really want to hear. Lesley gave us a sob story and asked for cash up front to help her cash flow, which we paid on the first morning. Breakfast was average, on... More

We stayed here for the first time in March of this year on our way to Ballater in order to rest before we carried on with our journey. We were thoroughly surprised and impressed with this B&B - the decor was amazing, our beautiful room was spotlessly clean with tea and coffee making facilities and had an en-suite bathroom. Lesley... My Friend and I stayed at Huntlywood Granary for 2 nights 7th and 8th of April 2012. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. The twin room we stayed in was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, the decor in the house was unique and inviting, the ambience was sumptuous and Lesley the proprietor was lovely and made... We have stayed at this B&B twice now, the first time being very pleasant, hence our reasons for returning. However, when we stayed this time in February 2012, we were woken at around 12.30 in the morning by shouting and arguing downstairs. It stopped after around an hour and we managed to get a good nights sleep following this. Having... More

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our time there. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. The whole B&B is very clean and has a warm feel to it. Tasty hot breakfasts were a bonus and perfect for the colder Scottish weather. Great value for money! Thanks, Darren and Jara

My wife and I came to the Scottish borders not knowing anything about the area. Lesley was so typical of borders people, warm welcoming, friendly, and so helpful. My wife, I am delighted to say was working, and I had the time to go walking, it is the most beautiful area, do not miss out folks! The only thing the... More

Do not go. Its not good. Take your rubber gloves and clean the bath ( you will be told to do so). Owner does not like FAT PEOPLE. Furniture all over the place. Lots of false reviews I think!!!

The granary is a lovely home but not suitable for children, there are ornaments everywhere, I counted 25 on one table, I was on edge the whole evening. It is very much a home with rooms, so much so that during breakfast we had to sit and listen to the owners telephone conversations. The owner had an appointment in the... More
