Lucky to be invited by friends to dinner at the Woodlands Lodge Hotel last night. This is an annual event. Pre dinner drinks in the bar whilst ordering followed by a delicious meal. We booked into the woodlands lodge for Sunday lunch after a recommendation from our friends. The recommendation was thoroughly deserved. Lunch was fantastic with amazing food, outstanding service and great value for money. We will definitely be returning.

We've just spent one night stay at Woodlands Lodge and on first entering the hotel we were worried as the hotel's furnishings, fixtures and fittings are tired and shabby and don't give a good first impression. Woodlands Lodge Hotel is set in peaceful countryside and from the pretty gardens there is direct access to the forest. It was a bit muddy, so be sure to wear your wellies!
