The reception area is indeed treadbare as is much of the carpet in corridors but within the rooms the carpets are fine. Stayed 1 night while away with work, turned up quite late and managed to get booked in quickly. Car park is large which is a bonus and hotel clean and tidy. Facilities and rooms basic to be expected but all in all a good night sleep and good value. Staff friendly and pointed out a good resturant.

I've had bad experiences with Travelodge in the past and avoided them for years. With all the competition these days (Ibis, Premier Inn) they'll have improved, right? Wrong! Three good things: a pleasant and courteous welcome, clean bedlinen and a clean toilet/basin. But...
