- Boasting a colonial-style building with galleries and a garden, Finca (or Estancia) Santa Anita offers rural accommodation 60 km, or a 1 hour drive, South of Salta. Finca Santa Anita boasts beautiful views of the surrounding Sub-Andean and Andean mountains, set in a relaxing, quiet setting, with horses, goats and extensive gardens including a football pitch, orange grove and a swimming pool (seasonal). Our rooms are decorated to a colonial theme, featuring comfortable wooden beds and furnishings, ensuite bathroom and heating facilities. We can cater for up to 4 people in our house rooms. For larger groups, consider our converted tobacco-drying loft apartment, which houses up to 10 people, providing a bathroom, an extra shower room, heating and complete self-catering cooking facilities. Guests on a budget can still enjoy the Argentinian finca experience, with our 10 dormitory beds (full-size single beds, not bunks!), with heating and shared bathroom, seating area, balcony and self-catering facilities. This is not just any dorm, and is situated in our second beautifully converted tobacco-drying loft. Ride like a gaucho and experience the comfortable Peruvian paso pace of our 25 horses whilst taking in the beautiful Andean mountain scenery. We have rides for all abilities from galloping the shores of the magnificent Cabra Corral lake to meandering along old railway tracks.Try milking our goats or taste our delicious Slow Food award-winning homemade cheeses. Discover regional history at our Tobacco & Archeological museums. We also offer bike riding, guided bird-watching walks and popular cooking classes with trained chef Valentina or her daughters in the finca kitchen.Delight in our award-winning food prepared by chef Valentina and her daughters using fresh homegrown ingredients from the farm. Eat on the patio in the sun or in our dining room complete with piano and log fire. Order what you want from our menu, from asado (BBQ) with homegrown beef and goat to tamales, empanadas & Jamaican poached pears. Wash it down with a glass of Malbec or Torrontes from the Bodegas of Cafayate.
