I remember this hotel being an inn in the 80s (Richmond Inn), and though Sheraton and later Marriott had put a stamp on it, it’s still pretty much an inn. At least the courtyard wing where my room was. A 2-story tall building with balcony that overlooks the pool. Not a nice pool you would expect from a Marriott, but a typical outdoor pool you find at a motel on a road trip in the 80s. The employees are on strike, and they are stationing on the sidewalks both in front and behind the hotel. Starbucks was closed. Hotel restaurant was closed. My room didn’t feel very clean, and the bed wasn’t even made properly. A king duvet cover was used for my Queen bed, so the side just hung over, plus the duvet wasn’t even tucked inside the cover. I had to make my own bed in order to sleep in comfortably. That said, pillows were so well used and offered no support. Not a Marriott standard bedding set. Marriott should really look into this hotel and bring it up to their Standard. I stayed at a Courtyard in BKK and Siem Reap just the week prior, and those Courtyards in Asia really put this Sheraton to shame.

This hotel was a very positive experience and a welcome surprise. The rooms were large with nice upscale furnishings including great pillows. The staff was friendly and evident they took pride in their work with customers. Restaurant breakfast was good too. Highly recommend!

The staff at the hotel were on a strike, so many of the services were not available. I stayed at that same hotel 1 month ago, and the service were good. During this strike, the shuttle bus is not available. We waited for 1 hour for the shuttle bus at the airport.

The hotel was in the midst of a labour dispute of which I was not advised at the time of booking. I was notified via email a day or two before scheduled arrival, advising they had moved my reservation to a “sister property”. I was offered the opportunity to accept the transfer or cancel with no penalty, but with such short notice we really had no choice. I have stayed at this Sheraton Hotel numerous times, and know it is usually very busy, and charge top dolllar for their rooms, so I cannot understand why they can’t pay their workers a fair wage. I’m very disappointed to see this happening and am questioning my choice hotel in Richmond.

Was treated with kindness by the receptionists, beds and service was great and their restaurants too. Wish someone would have helped me with my luggage; I had to bring alone to my room with the trolley and then bring the trolley back, no one was there to help.

We stayed 1 night pre flight with 21 days of sheltered parking. The cost was less than 3 weeks "just" parking at some YVR sites. Good deal with a shuttle too. I needed another couple nights parking and this was done without issue. Moreover all staff and facilities were fine. Plus upon flying back, our Montreal to YVR connecting flight was cancelled stranding us overnight. A quick call to the hotel was made and Melisa quickly and kindly extended our parking for another day. Just superb customer care. Thanks!!!!

We stayed here for a night in Feb, in the North Tower room 355 as a family. We have passed this hotel many times to know it's an older hotel and a staple of Richmond but just never had a chance to stay. It's definitely a more business/convention clientele hotel. The weekend we were there they were hosting a power lifting convention and hotel was completely sold out. The front desk was a hit or miss. Because our rooms weren't ready when we first arrived, we had to go to the front desk multiple times, and the experiences ranged from staff being aloof to being barely business courteous. The lobby area was large and has a restaurant and Starbucks connected which was convenient. Overnight parking was $21 which was pretty standard here in Richmond and parking seems aplenty. The hallways were dark and one of the tower elevators was broken the whole time we were there and for the only other elevator, the door sometimes wouldn't open all the way - not exactly comforting. The fitness room was relatively large with both cardio machines, and small free weights section. As for the room, it was definitely a bit weathered and dated. There were no USB plugs, and while the bathroom was larger, the door lock was broken. It did have a balcony, safe, and what surprised me, was a microwave. I called the front desk to see if they had slippers for in room use, but they were charging $5 a pair - hmm no thanks. The beds were comfortable but our room was close to the elevator so with the convention folks, it was pretty loud.

Everything was at a high standard. What motivated me to write this review was the excellent service and attention to detail of the hotel staff. We missed a flight and had to stay the night. Harleen at the front desk was especially helpful and made sure we got our order in for dinner before the kitchen closed and what to do in the morning etc. Thanks!

Stayed in King Bed room, bed was too hard, very uncomfortable. Don't know what the queens are like. Was there for 3 nights and had terrible sleep. Was also very noisy with wind howling all night (must be thin glass). Everything else about the hotel was good.
