Decor is very dated (dark red shag carpet) and room chairs were very uncomfortable (sit down and feel like you’re going to hit the floor). Bathroom light / fan made a loud buzzing noise so it was easier to just sit and do your business in the dark. Fridge was open and turned off when we arrived so we had to cool it down before we could use it for anything. Non-smoking room that smelled of cigarettes when we walked in. Newly renovated tub and shower, but the shower needed instructions on how to use it.

I have stayed twice so far this year and found this place to be very clean and comfortable and reasonably priced as well! A little bit of noise from the highway but not too bad. Lots of space to use outside for a bbq or pets or kids.

We discovered this cute, colorful, clean, comfy Inn and have added it to our “will return to again “ destination list !! Our room had red accents, plus I would call in a eclectic step back into the 70’s?? All I know is when I opened the door I smiled and fell in love with everything!

I enjoyed my stay at the Hide Away. It was warm, clean, comfortable. The person at reception was friendly and helpful. It was raining like crazy and dark so I stayed in and ordered pizza delivered to my room. It was quick and delicious too.

If they made disgusting deep pile RED shag carpet in the 1850's, this was probably it. And then we learned it was a pet-friendly motel, Egad!!! There was such an incredible potpourri of disgusting smells that we froze because we had to leave the windows open. the owner had posted abusive little signs everywhere warning of penalties for everything and anything, it was an awful stay. and horribly over-priced. The shower curtain was from Dachau, and had some of the former inhabitant's body secretions cemented onto it. Don't please stay here unless you get a rate of under $38 a night= otherwise not worth it.

Was somewhat disappointed upon entering the room. Appearance wise, it looked cosy. But the room had an overbearing smell of cleaners mixed with years of smoke and whatever’s. Turned the heat off and opened the window to let it cool down and air out a bit. Upon return from dinner, the window had been closed in my absence. Then noticed little signs posted about. (See Photos) Inn keeper, want to improve? Get rid of that old carpet. It’s filthy and it stinks. And the flowers, although a nice touch, could use some washing as well. Extremely dusty. The bed was clean and soft.

Stayed there for one night because there was nothing else available and it was recommended by the receptionist of one of the hotels in town. The room looks clean at first, but our night was interrupted by bed bugs. We were able to catch one and show to the staff, who did not seem at all concerned. If you have to stay there just be careful to not bring bed bugs home with you...

This place was very clean and quiet . The rates were reasonable. There was a kitchenette. I don’t know what time the continental breakfast was served but we were up and left by 7:30 and it was still not available. Other than that it was a good stop

Motel is indeed a little hidden away - you have to look carefully to find it. Room was clean but smelled of rug deodorizer (room was covered with a bright red shag carpet) Bathroom is small so if you are a plus size you may have difficulty. Bed was ok with adequate pillows. There was no continental breakfast . Motel appearance is that of a 70s motel with very few updates. Staff was pleasant and courteous.

Geesje was fabulous.. She was very accomodating. No carpet WOOHOO!! Cute bathroom..... Love a mom & pop place. She was up and cleaning early in the morning, we had breakfast. Would stay again...We were exhausted from driving and gave it a shot and so glad we did.....Out of the rat race of traffic on the outskirts of town yet close enough to grab dinner....
