Awful! The wall in the room had drink splatters on it. The windows were all broken. There was a microwave, coffee machine and fridge but no plates, mugs or any cutlery! All light fittings were loose. For the money we paid we were gutted! We left a day early because of this. This place is in a good location and it would be great but it needs a complete overhaul. I think we were ripped off. Doesn’t reflect the website at all!! Having said that, one of the staff members was lovely. Did not see the owners.

As others have written, this is not the newest or plushest of motels. It is under new management and they are working their way around the units modernising and replacing as they go. We wanted a quiet unit - not the easiest in The Rockies, where towns are usually sandwiched between the main highway and railroad. We had an unit in the far corner, which was surprisingly quiet. It was dark - more, and more modern, lighting and electric sockets would be a great improvement. The a/c units were “plumbed in” portable ones and ours failed. Luckily, the evening duty person was the new manager’s brother and handyman who quickly replaced it with his own - rapid comfort. Everything worked, if in a rather old fashioned manner. As others said, it has a bit of green space, garden and play area, and we actually ate outside 2 evenings in a row, enjoying the view of the Three Sisters, albeit mistily due to the wildfires’ distant smoke. We also used the indoor pool and outside hot tub - great mountain views from the latter, though the jets didn’t work. Both areas would benefit from a spruce up. When our hire car broke down and we had a very difficult day, exacerbated by the rental company and breakdown service refusing to ring us back as our mobile was not a Canadian/USA number, the Lodge receptionist Donna was extremely helpful and sympathetic for hours. We used the motel telephone throughout the day (the company still did not ring us back but we did not spend endless more CADs ringing up and being cut off. The manager even offered us an extra night to make up for the wasted day, though sadly we couldn’t accept this generous offer due to our itinerary.

Stayed here about a week for work in the area and was very pleased. Staff were so friendly and helpful, the lodge style rooms were very cozy and clean, and you just can’t beat the view. I’d recommend this place for families especially ones with children as there’s even a cute little playground and communal fire pit.

I would like to share this experience with the public. I booked for a split type apartment for my family weeks before we arrived from Toronto to Calgary. When we checked in at the Lodge after paying $1162.17 for 3 nights, I was appalled that we were given the room that was already occupied by somebody. I immediately went back to see person at the counter to resolve the issue. So he gave me another room and was told if I’m ok with this room I could then occupy this for 3 nights. I said I’ll think about it as this room had no kitchenette. But when I checked this new room, I was even more upset that the room was dirty, the bed was not made, the garbage was still in the garbage bins with empty water bottles The room was filthy and stinky. So I returned to Ryu after 11 pm last night and told him to refund me because I refuse to stay in this filthy horrible lodge. Additionally, this place is NOT good for seniors, with so many stairs to climb to the split type apartment. The rooms are Not safe as the key given can open another unit. I am so ashamed with my husband and children plus my mother who is 90 y.o to experience having to go back to the car after reaching the 2nd level of the lodge. All I can say is awful awful and awful experience in this Rundown Rundle Lodge! I would rather give 0 if that was an option.

Racist. My friends are native. Successful and respectful. Social worker for the government of manitoba. They gave our room away. Gave us a horrible room. The manager swore at us and we asked her to come down politely when we asked to change rooms. Also they are doing construction in the lobby with no signs which violates the health safety codes. They also contacted local restaurants not to serve us, Drake, and rose and crown. I'm an engineer with a personal lawyer and is going to love this when I tell.him..

DO NOT STAY HERE! It is not cheap but it is nasty. The deadbolt does not work. There is large electrical cord taped across the floor in front of the door. This cannot be legal. There is a door to an attic space in our ceiling. The ceiling has a large stain. The walls of the bathroom have brown streaks dripping down them. The sheets are grayish brown. To say it is old and run down is an understatement. It is dirty and gross.

Room 106, found bed bugs.. lots of them.. on the bed and behind the baseboards. We checked in, did the customary bed bug check, took pictures and left. 11:30pm on a long weekend.. only found one room available. $$$

Great place to stay, we stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage, cozy space, has a kitchenette so we are able to save on meals out and make our food. Service and staff were great and very friendly. Housekeeping service daily(if wanted) the views were absolutely amazing, even right out the door, Everywhere you look there are mountains. The only thing is couldn’t get the jets to work in hot tub.

The main attraction here is that it is in Canmore and is pet friendly as we had our pups with us. I will first start by saying I'm not sure if all rooms are the same here but the one we stayed in (located on the lower level) was not very pleasant at all. The first thing you will notice is how dark it is and very little space. We had the curtain open, turned on every light in the place and it was still so dark. There is nowhere to put any of your items either, except one ancient old dresser, a half sized kitchen table, and that's about it. The air conditioning unit is very loud even on the low setting. The most disappointing is that we booked a kitchenette specifically because I had planned to cook most of our meals. This does not constitute as a kitchen! There is no toaster, baking sheet, oven mitts, bowls, can opener, and on and on. It is a mini sized fridge that barely fits anything and a 70's stove with an oven that is useless unless you are cooking something that does not require a baking sheet, dish, etc, and no oven mitts to remove anything from the oven. You can barely maneuver in the kitchen because it is so tiny! Surprisingly, the bed was relatively comfortable. This place is very dark and uninviting, almost depressing considering you are in beautiful Canmore. My recommendation would be to stay somewhere else.

Well the list is too long to mention the items that need to be fixed and issues we ran into. From dirty filthy furniture to extremely uncomfortable beds and dirty sheets and everything in between. I gathered enough info on how things are done around this place but it turns out the owners basically just don't care about guests! Staying in this place for 3 nights in a row actually made us physically sick. The place is a rip off and it's unfortunate the owners are just making money out of guests.
