Our room had bedbugs for over a MONTH and we got 0 compensation from the motel owner. The wifi is bad. The pool isn't even open. He charges everyone staying there different amounts. The motel owner is a horrible human. He has no morals, no care, and nobody should ever stay here.

If we could give this hotel a 0/zero, we would. We booked this hotel through on online booking service two weeks before our arrival date. On the arrival date we were driving from Oregon to BC and the hotel called. We could not understand the person talking. When we called back we still couldn’t understand him. We went directly to the hotel when we arrived in Hope, BC and after several minutes, figured out that he said “I canceled your room this morning, we don’t have any rooms.” But, since we were standing there, he was going to cancel someone else and give us a room. We declined. This was very unprofessional, as was the rest of the hotel. It was dirty, with junk piled in the lobby, behind the counter, had an unpleasant smell. We ended up driving 2 hours to Kamloops to find another room. Do not book or stay at this hotel!

We got booked here for work as no other place was available at the time. First room they tried to put us in smelt like animals urinated in it and had the stains on the carpet to back up my theory. They moved us to another which was a lot better but still dirty, food left in the fridge from past guests animal hair on the floor and a bathroom out the 70’s that I can’t even begin to describe how bad it was. To top it off the A/C didn’t work until we ran an extension cord to another socket. At least you could lay down and watch some tv to distract you from the other guest which were drug addicts and street workers, oh wait tv didn’t work. But if you wanna go for a bike ride you’re in luck a guest has about 10 stolen ones outside his room that he offers to sell you…..no joke. Definitely avoid this place if possible.

If I could give this motel a zero I would. Dirty, no, not dirty, disgusting is a better term. Poorly maintained, rotten, it’s the kind of motel a Hitchcock movie would take place in. Garbage all around the facility. Strange people living here. Garbage on the shared balconies. Reeks of zoodles, cigarettes and bad dreams. I’m writing this at 339 am because I’m so disgusted I can’t sleep. You’re honestly better of sleeping in your car. I’ll need a week of decontamination and therapy to recover this absolutely filthy hell hole. Ignore the positive reviews, avoid this place at all costs. Hands down the worst place I’ve stayed, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve stayed at the chateau nova Kingsway in Edmonton.

The building is very run down inside and out, but all other accommodation in the area was full so we stayed. The bathroom was not great with pieces missing from the wall, but the room had a fridge and microwave, and the mattress seemed fairly new with crisp clean sheets. The desk clerk asked us to pay by cash or e-transfer because the credit card machine was 'updating,' which has never happened to us before. But the machine seemed to out of commission indefinitely. The cell service was bad as was the WIFI so eventually we went to a bank machine and got cash. But they wouldn't give us a proper receipt, and so there was no paper trail for our payment, which made me uncomfortable. The only good point is the location across from Rolly's Restaurant and the electric vehicle charging station near downtown. But I would not recommend staying here unless you have no other choice. It was relatively cheap though.

The room was outrageously priced. They are stuck in the old ages a bit and the check in process required no ID and they wrote down my credit card info. The key was a literal key and the rooms were dated. The floor was separating and there were patch jobs everywhere. There was an indoor pool that looked like it could of been fun but we didn't use it.

Listed as “No frills” , & priced accordingly. The woodwork in our room was in need of repainting, the shower tap came apart when we tried to use it, & we would have appreciated written instructions about the AC unit. We let the manager know, & once those issues are resolved, it will be perfect for our needs as a stop on the way to the Interior. It was clean, quiet, and so convenient with Rolleys restaurant across the parking lot & easy access to the highway .We didn’t take advantage of the pool, although it was tempting on a very hot day!

Was a good stay for the price. It was quiet. A couple dirty spots that we noticed, but nothing to overly worry about. Overall we were quite happy with our stay. Again the price is right. I would stay here again :)

Definitely needs renovation. Barely tolerable for a stopover for one night. TV and fridge were good at least, and linen half-way clean. Overall atmosphere, in particular at night, horrible. I really hope that things will get better here.

We were traveling home (the Cariboo) after visiting family on the Island over the Christmas Holidays. It was getting late in the afternoon and my wife and I didn't feel like carrying on any further and decided to stop for the night in Hope. When I went into the office to inquire about availability I was met by a very friendly person at the front desk who insisted on showing me the room before I paid and had no problem with my 2 dogs. The room room did show some age and the wear and tear (nicks and scuffs) that accompany it but, it was large, very clean and the queen bed was very comfortable. I will stay here again if the need arises
