My wife and I are expecting very soon (11 days over due). We checked in at the recommendation of our midwife and unexpectedly got admitted to the hospital the next morning. When I explained the situation to the front desk they charged me for the night even though I had tried to check out at 10:30am. I am very disappointded... More

I am the owner of Lazy Bear Lodge. At the day you want to leave, the on site manager explained to you the cancellation policy ,you were not happy with that and left.So the manager called me right away. Beacause you are refered from the hospital,I agree... More

I love this type of Motel. It's a bit 70's in it's style, but you can tell the owner(s) try hard to compete against the big chains in the area. I was on a fast trip thru, and just needed a place to lay my head for the night. Easy check in, nice clean and fairly big room, updated flat... More

The reviews I read made me think this was at least above average, and was about 25% cheaper than other places. Not at all. The breakfast is in the reception area, and consists of a few supermarket muffins, coffee and I'm not sure whatelse cuz I went down the road to a breakfast cafe. There is no coffee in the... More

We've stayed here half a dozen times over the years and have never had a less-than-excellent experience. An older facility but very clean and quiet. Manager is always friendly and accomodating. My favorite indoor place to stay in Canada. Motor Cycle friendly and motorcycles often block access to the stairs to the top floor.

Myself and a friend were on a motorcycle trip travelling through Cranbrook B.C. We saw the sign "Bikers Welcome" so we stopped and got a room. The owner looked after us and also gave us a free beer, which was more than welcome given the warm day. We found the room simple but clean and comfortable. There was even a... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Got 2 rooms for 75 dollars per room per night. Wish we had stayed else where. The staff are very hard working people. I believe there are 45 rooms. Two ladies in their sixties or seventies were cleaning all of them. The guy at the desk was there 24/7. They were all nice enough, but... More

What appealed to us was they advertised a room with three beds in it - a bonus for our family of five. We received an email the next day advising us that the three bed room was not available on that night, but they had a room with a sofa bed. That was fine with us, so we booked it.... More

Stayed at this motel for one night en route to Seattle. I was pleasantly surprised by the convenient location and overall cleanliness of the rooms and motel grounds. This is an older property but the owners keep the rooms spotless.

This is a hotel fr the 70's!!! No joke. Manager was friendly and the rooms weren't recently renovated like he may say! Maybe new carpets and paint job but that's about it! No joke. -beds are very very firm - pillows so thin you actually have to fold them in half! Seriously - no in room complementary coffee ( I... More

Was a bit disappointed as we drove up to the motel, but the staff were very hospitable. The room we got was a bit dark and very basic no amenities whatsoever, which they need to improve on. Also the access area to the ground floor rooms needed tidying up as it looked a bit derelict. If we had not booked... More
