Went for 2 nights. March 2013. The room was clean and spacious. We were in the new section of the hotel, Got a very good price with Expedia. Very satisfied. This Hotel could use some updating but at $100 a night I can't complain. We stayed there with 4 other bantam hockey teams so it got pretty routy. Food was average and everything closed early couldn't get any room service at 10pm????

Stayed here recently on the way back to the maritimes. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. It is clean and friendly. Plenty of towels and comfortable beds. The price is high compared to american motels but typically Canadian.

We stayed at this hotel very briefly last month . We arrived late, but our room was all ready when we got there and check-in was a breeze. The hotel is conveniently located on the exit of the motorway 20. The rooms are a little old fashioned but very clean. They are building a new part to the hotel so that should improve. Our room smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. Pity. For the rest the Internet was really slow and difficult to access.... More

Last minute reservation.....they saw us coming from a mile. $180 night. Could of booked Chateau Frontenac for close to this price....beds are small and in serious need to be upgraded. Rooms are probably dated back to the mid 80's.

I booked this hotel on Expedia for a one night stay en route to New Brunswick. I normally book another hotel in this city but opted to try the Universel because it was $25 cheaper than my 'usual' at $120/nt.
