This motel is very clean. I felt it was cleaner then most large chains I have stayed at. The owner is very friendly and went out of his way more then once to make us feel welcomed. This is a great place to stay if you find yourself in Beresford for the night!

John's Motel, built by the late John Poirier, is a family owned and operated business since 1969, located on the beautiful north east coast of New Brunswick. We are two kilometers from the Bay of Chaleur, just outside the city limits of Bathurst on route 134 north. We have a well maintained property, plenty of grass and green trees surrounding the motel for quiet, and leisure. Our rooms have a full bath and shower, color television with cable, and most importantly comfortable beds! We also boast a swimming pool and an area for picnics. We also have an in-room coffee. Bathurst is a scenic town, with a rich French and English history. The Gowan Brae Golf Course is a close 3 kilometer drive, the closest beach is 2 kilometers away, downtown shopping malls and restaurants are a short drive. You will enjoy the Bathurst Marina and the fun at the many beaches. There are many places to cycle and enjoy the scenery also.The Royal Canadian War Museum, the only one of its kind, besides the one in Ottawa, is a must see item on your agenda. The Miners Museum, tells about the local way to make a living; Bathurst has the largest zinc mine in the world run by Noranda. Atlas Park is a great place for the family, with paddle boats and canoes. During your stay with us plan a breathtaking drive on the Acadian coast toward Caraquet and visit the Acadien Village, the Pope's Museum and the Wax Museum. The Marine Center in Shippagan is a day trip.We offer kitchen units for long or short stays at economical rates, but make sure to get your reservation in to us as soon as you know the dates...
