The view and close access to waterfront is a major win here. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. There is no AC, but the sea breeze makes up for it. However, the highway noise can prevent you from keeping the windows open to let said breeze in. Not a deal breaking issue. Definitely check this place out!

We spent one night in this hotel on the way east. The room had a very nice balcony from where we watched the sunset over the river. There was a small equipped kitchen and two double beds. The beds were terrible and in desperate need of being replaced. On the whole the room was clean, but the beds were a bit scary. We got takeout from the restaurant across the street which was very good. Try the fish burger (cod) and the club sandwich.

This motel is very nice. They have a traditional motel units which are not spacious but very clean and well appointed. They have a few cabins which overlook the water. This motel is very good value for money and relatively close to attractions.

This motel looked great on their website but wasn’t so great for us. Our room was what I believe in what they call their “West units”. It was rustic, cottagey, but smelled old and musty when you walked in. Right away I thought, uh oh, I made a mistake booking here. Our room was small and had two double beds, fridge with freezer which was nice, a small kitchenette and table. The bathroom had a small sink with no counter (so no where to put toothbrushes, cosmetics, etc). A toilet, of course, and just a small shower, no tub. The sheets smelled clean but the bed was hard. The owner was very nice. She gave us an extra towel, no problem, and ice cubes when we asked for them. I had picked this motel because I thought it had a restaurant with it, the Resto de la Mer, but it turned out to be just a canteen where you walk up to a window and order things like fish and chips. We wanted a nice, sit-down restaurant with a nice menu. We ended up spending about 20 minutes or so on Google to find a suitable restaurant in Rimouski. (We went to the Hotel Rimouski Restaurant). Then we had to find a place for breakfast in the morning. Very disappointing as we had a long drive ahead of us and hoped for a restaurant on the premises. This was a nice picturesque location with the St. Lawrence right across the road. We got lovely sunset pictures. The mosquitoes were plentiful though, so we didn’t stay outside for long. I wouldn’t stay here again, unless they totally renovated the rooms.

Menu looks good, but it turns out the menu is overly ambitious. We ate there on July 7. My companions ordered the crab rolls ($13.95) which were served on a hot dog wrapper. They were satisfied with the quality of the food. I ordered the "assiettes garni" (supposed to be served with fries and coleslaw) of fried clams. It was served without the coleslaw. This is the sort of place where one orders at the window, then you pick up your food when your number is called. I t appeared that there was one lady to take your order, another was the cook, and a young man placed your order on a tray for pick up. I ordered a Coke Zero and was told they only had regular Coke. I later found out that they had Diet Pepsi, which no one bothered to mention. The clams were undercooked and the fries were luke warm and dry. If you want a plain hot dog for $2.50 and a can of Coke (regular) for $1.85, this is the place for you. Otherwise, head to nearby downtown Rimouski where you will find much better choices.

Located on highway with spectacular view. Old motel not maintained. Room was on an incline... smelled like b.o. sheets were clean but comforter not washed. Sink leaked so musty smell. Bed rock hard. Our room had a double and a single... the single was softer so hubby slept there. We also went to the restaurant. Ordered 2 pc fish and chips.. received "wish" and chips. Wow.. 40 bucks does not buy much in QC. We got two tiny pieces of what appeared to be frozen fish. Tons of fries. Was ok but looking forward to New Brunswick eats.

In spite of a warm reception by the manager and a large, freshly painted room, I cannot recommend this motel. The main problem was a thin, open-weave curtain in the big window that faces the afternoon sun together with no air conditioning. The room was unpleasantly hot until 9 PM in June. I can’t imagine what it would be like in July or August. The curtain also let in too much light during the night; I had to get up and unscrew the lightbulbs outside my room. The curtain in the bathroom was even worse. It didn’t extend to the sill, so anyone walking behind the motel could see everything. You get a small, CRT television, but a good number of channels. The bed was too soft for my taste, and the lighting was terrible. There was also a locked door in the back, which I have to assume is to an adjoining room. I generally hate these, but my neighbor was quiet. Both receptionists I spoke with were friendly and very helpful, but the room just isn’t good enough to recommend. Scooper47’s top tip: The location is excellent, on the east side of Rimouski, perfect for a quick get-away to Gaspé in the morning. Fortunately, traffic dies off on 132 after dark. They have three chalets across the highway that are on a small street used mainly by bicyclists. You might want to ask about them. They are almost directly on the river front.

We stayed in the kitchenette room with sea view. What an awesome view. Clean and spacious room. Sea is just in front of the balcony. Just some stairs from the water. Reception was great. Wifi works. Only issue is that it is by the street if you are sensitive to street noise.

We stayed here recently for the 5th or 6th time. As has been stated elsewhere, this is an economic and good stop. It is conveniently located for travel throughout Eastern Quebec and/or the Gaspe. We have enjoyed our stays here every time, it is restful, clean, and comfortable. The location is great, as we usually travel as a family and have several young children in attendance. The weather was not conducive to walking along the St. Lawrence to get the travel kinks worked out, but we made the best of it. Room reservations and check-in were quick and easy, management of this facility do everything they can to ensure cusomers are well looked after. We did notice a bit of traffic noise this time, but it did quiet down as the evening wore on.....no issues for sleeping. Nice to have a fridge in the room. Wi_fi worked great. Nice to have free parking, this seems to be a dying trend with a lot of hotels. All in all, another enjoyable visit, thanks Christiane!

We chose this motel because it is conveniently located on Route 132 on the St. Lawrence River during our tour of the Gaspe Peninsula. Christiane the owner greeted us, warmly speaks both English and French fluently and was eager to help to ensure our stay was pleasant. Our clean room had one queen comfortable bed and was a bit small for two adults but because it was a busy travel week larger rooms were not available. Room amenities included; Frig., coffee- maker/coffee, private bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, soap, big comfortable chair, microwave, TV/remote control, table with two chairs in front of the large window that allowed for eating a meal or sipping wine enjoying views of the beautiful St. Lawrence and the magnificent setting sun. Front door opens to shared patio and a table and chairs were also in front of each unit. Wi-Fi and parking is complimentary. Breakfast is not included. Road noise from route 132 could be heard but stopped after 10PM and began at 7AM, which allowed for a restful night’s sleep. If you are light and noise sensitive, consider ear plugs and eye shades. Close driving distance to restaurants and stores. I would recommend this lovely this motel.
