The room was very good, large and airy with extremely comfortable beds. The breakfast was also extremely good with a nice choice and Andrea is a great host. She suggested things for us to do and directed us to the weekly farmer's market which was brilliant. It is well situated for the waterfront and restaurants. A great stay

A well run afair. Andrea is an excellent innkeeper. It is evident that she loves her Inn and committed to the satisfaction of her guests. It is a very old house in excellent repair, so a creak from a floor or a squeak from a door should be expected.

We stayed at the Bluenose Lodge for 1 night in Aug 2012 while travelling through Nova Scotia. We had a room on the 2nd floor. The room was large and clean. We enjoy staying at B&Bs but there are a couple of things we did not like about this place. 1. Noise travels here. We could hear the people above... More

Clean, large rooms. Beautiful lodge. Reasonable price. Perfect bed and breakfast. Perfect for Family. Interesting ancient details. Andera is an amazing host. Very helpful with everything you need. Good breakfast. Andrea and staff prepared most of it. Nice, large, ancient and modern eating area. Lovely Keltic music.

Thanks to the inn keeper's ability to respond to emails quickly I ended up in the most beautiful accommodations as the result of a last minute booking. Bluenose Lodge is majestic and stately, full of character and charm. When I arrived I was welcomed, given a map with directions around the old town, and left to settle in. The inn... More

We visited the Bluenose Labour Day Weekend. The owner was very prompt to see to all our needs and questions. Our room was beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. The location is perfect and just a short walk to the centre of town.

Accommodations were clean, comfortable, and well priced. Breakfast was an a la carte style and good. To our surprise it was directly across from the Bay to Bay trail (Lunnenberg to Mahone Bay) and a pleasant walk to town. The owner was incredibly helpful with ideas, maps, directions, and suggestions. Her advice made our stay. I would stay here again... More

Historic building and charming rooms in a great location. The owner, Andrea, could not have been more gracious. She gave us some great tips on shopping, restaurants and walking tours. The breakfast was also simple and fabulous. The Bluenose, like Lunenburg itself, was a high point of a great vacation.

I stayed at the Bluenose this July, alas for only 1 night. Just passing through delightful Lunenburg. This old grand house is very beautiful, and really felt like stepping back to a more genteel time. (minus the inconveniences, of course.) There are antiques throughout but not kitshy. There are also little nooks on each floor where you can watch TV... More
