One of the cheapest places in town--and pretty nice. It is a historic building, but remodeled on the inside. You are welcomed by a long-time Canadian originally from Germany. With a smile, he asks you to take off your shoes at the door and show you around (before you even decide to stay!). It was a very simple room--no fancy... More

The Air Force Lodge is vintage 1942, run like the lodge was for Air Force Officers by a charming German gentleman who will make you forget your electronic doodads. "Take your shoes off at the door, or vow to scrub the very clean floors." Wander thru the free sign post forest. Go to the Northern Lights panoramic movie theatre. This... More

We stayed here for one night and where surprised in a good way. The place is spotlessly clean, you'll find a very friendly and helpful host and a nicely made Air Force Lodge. The rooms are not very big but big enough. We can absolutely recommend this place.

If it's summer time, there is a nice campsite just north of town that I would recommend over the hotels in Watson Lake. But this place is nice... picture small dorm-style rooms, communal bathrooms and showers down the hall. If you've ever worked remote camp jobs you'll know exacly what this is like (but without the buffet cafeteria, as there... More

We stayed one night in dusty, little Watson Lake on our way down the Alcan Highway. Air Force Lodge has a great atmosphere and is interesting because of its history as an RCAF barracks. Mike, the owner, is a helpful host. There are no en suite rooms but the shared facilities are beautifully kept.

The Lodge is more like a hostel than a hotel, but it is a good place to rest. It is spotlessly clean. One must remove shoes before entering, but that's okay as it helps keep the place clean. The bathrooms and showers are down the hall, separate showers and bathrooms for men and women. All are spotlessly clean. There is TV.... More

Great little place and very different from the normal motel. It's very clean and comfortable as you have to take your shoes off before going in. The rooms are small but big enough and the separate shower/washrooms are good and spotlessly clean. Michael is a great host and will give you the history of the lodge. WIFI is good and... More

We were very surprised when driving into Watson Lake how expensive the hotels were. I guess when you are in the middle of nowhere, you can charge whatever you want. My advice... camp outside of Watson Lake. But, if you do choose a hotel, this is a good one. It's the cheapest and while it's not fancy, it is impeccably... More

We stayed at the Lodge when we were travelling along the Alaskan Highway. The rooms are spotless as are the bathrooms. Free wifi which works! Michael is a very friendly and helpful host. Great spot to stop as it gives you an opportunity to visit the Northern Lights Centre and the Sign Post Forest. Breakfast is not included but you... More
