I think the location is brilliant. However, a few issues hampered our stay. Firstly, the toilet block:- I cant understand why it is so far away from the camping pitches and close to the caravans. Poor weather and lack of a direct route there made us miserable. Toilet paper was not refilled and i was greatly disturbed by the cctv... More

I am very sorry you were disappointed by your stay. We do sell goods after their best before date - at a discount. We do not sell goods that have gone past their use by dates. The toilets are cleaned and checked several times per day - but it is possible for a loo to run out in between these... More

we recently returned from rivendale from a 5 day cycling break. unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side and we were only able to do a decent ride once completing the Tissington trail which was enjoyable and longer than the 13 miles each way suggests! The staff were very friendly and gave us complimentary maps of the local trails. There... More

My family and I camped on the Meadow at Rivendale for the Bank Holiday Weekend (Friday to Monday). Having looked at the website for several campsites in the area, we decided on Rivendale, as we thought that their facilities sounded excellent. There were several things which added up to make our stay less than perfect: *Hot water problems: on the... More

We are very sorry for the inconvenience suffered by some of our guests over the bank holiday. However, Severn Trent water had 2 seperate bursts on the water main supplying our site. The first, a "trickling burst" reduced the water pressure and caused the gas boiler heating the water on the Camping meadow to work erratically as the boiler will... More

The site is lovely, in a great location, good views, easy to find with a small shop, cafe and bar. The staff were nice and friendly when I arrived and helped us out finding a place to pitch our tent. Cars stayed on a car park a 1 minute walk away from the pitches and wheel barrows were available to... More

Thank you for your review. We had a few problems over the weekend. Firstly, there was a mains water problem which affected the whole site from Saturday morning onwards and made the gas boiler go off on its pressure safety sensor when the pressure dropped too low. It also affected the main toilet block and the toilets and shower behind... More

Just come back from four nights in our motorhome at Rivendale. We weren't disappointed with either the site or the experience. Didn't expect there still to be so much snow though! Facilities at the site were fine - nice to have heated toilet/shower block. Small play area for the kids which they enjoyed. Easy to access our pitch and good... More

We spent 3 nights at Rivendale from 17 to 20 March 2013 staying in room 4, bed & breakfast. The location is fantastic right on the Tissington Trail with access to a variety of beautiful walks. The staff at riven dale were lovely always happy to helping- excellent service. Breakfast in the coffee shop was fabulous & the customer service... More

Myself and the hubby with 6 mth old baby in tow stayed in a pod to test whether we still hold love for camping as we were thinking of selling our caravan to return to tenting - and after the weekend in the pod - it's for sale! We were astounded on such a view from our weekend home and... More

Just returned from spending a weekend at the park. We stayed in a Yurt which was very spacious and comfortable although taking camp beds is recommended. The toilets were very clean and showers hot. My wife and I plus 2 dogs walked route 5 on Saturday, it took 6 hours which included several stops for lunch and refreshments. The walk... More

Several times we've purchased a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea at Rivendale. It's a great location; if you're walking or cycling the Tissington Trail you can just step off and there it is. This week we went for a walk around Carsington Water and then made our way over to Rivendale for lunch. Excellent value for money. This time was... More
